trips - Can't Take It Any More! Run to the Red weekenTrip Info
DescriptionI'd like to hike a loop (or horse shoe maybe) in the Clifty Wilderness this weekend and hopefully have some time to see a couple sights in RRG too. I would like to meet on top of Raven's Rock on Friday night (start's the trip off right) then Sat. morning drive around to the 241 trail head on KY 715. This is just on the North side of the Concrete Bridge.From there we hike north to trail 240, and follow it back around to where it meets KY 715 again. Campsites are TBA for now as I'm looking for a better map of the area and more accurate mileage. If time allows I would like to go see the Daniel Boone hut before leaving on Sunday. Parking could become an issue is there are going to be very many attendees on Friday night, but we can work out a shuttle from Martin's Fork TH if necessary. Water beta is pending but I doubt it will be any real issue. I could help with anyone needing a ride and leaving the Indianapolis area on Friday morning. If this doesn't work out I have an alternate trip plan in mind that would be about 14 total miles over the same time frame. Anyone interested is welcome. The more the merrier!
