Wanted to gauge the interest on a 10 day 2010 Wonderland Trail Trip. I spent 20 minutes talking to a ranger about the permitting process etc and I have all of the info I need...

Here is what I would probably be looking at:

1st day Longmire to Devil's Dream CG 5.9 miles 2400 ft elevation gain, 200 ft of loss

2nd day DD CG to Kluptcha Park CG 10.2 miles 3786 up, 3386 down

3rd day KP to Golden Lakes 7.8 miles 1800 up, 2150 down

4th day Golden lakes to Mowich Lake 10.5 miles 2329, 2520

5th day ML to Mystic Lake 13.5 miles 3551, 3180

6th day Mystic - Sunrise 9.5 miles (with option 3 mile side hike to Mount Fremont Lookout) 2570 1990

Food Cache at Sunrise

7th day Sunrise to Whiteriver 3.1 miles 0, 2168 (optional day hikes around sunrise, or if we have a car there drive into Wappita Woolies)

8th day WR to Summerland 9.8 miles 1900 275

9th day Summerland to Nickle Creek 11.3 miles 2360, 4235

10th day NC to Longmire 13.5 miles 2020, 2335

Of course all of this depends on how the permit application lottery goes..
