Description

A friend and I will be hiking the length of the isle on the Greestone Ridge Trail. We are both in our late 40's and experienced hikers. The trip is +/- 40 miles with a moderate pace and time for photos, fishing, etc. No real great changes in elevation. Hope to see wolves and moose. We will be basically copying the Sierra Club Trip that is the week prior to ours. You can view their trip on the web at sierraclub.org under national outings (trip # 09183A). We are planning to drive from New Jersey to Michigan where will will take the ferry to isle. There is a floatplane option but it's pricy (undecided if it's worth it).
