Description

We will shuttle from Smitty's on Snow Bank on Saturday, May 3rd to the trailhead on the east end. We will then hike east to west back to Snow Bank and our vehicles at Smitty's. The trail winds through the heart of the BWCA and will highlight many, many lakes and varying terrain. At the time that I am posting this (March 8th) I anticipate everyone on the trip being able to handle hiking through the trail in 4 days. I listed the end day for the trip as May 6th but will be open to spending one additional day on the trail should we chose to as a group. I am going to make this trip public because I have always been a supporter of getting as many people out on the trail as possible - if you sign up for this trip,please, be prepared for it. I have hiked quite a bit with each of the people signed onto this trip and they are great people - if you have a chance to hike with them, I would suggest taking advantage of the opportunity. Following the trail on the east end is going to be difficult. I am working on charting the trail UTM coordinates into my GPS, we will have a solid point of reference for finding our way. I have applicable hard copy maps.
