“last night I was in Maryville eating pizza with a bunch of kayakers. We noticed quite a few Bama fans in the place. No one knew the outcome of the game so I stopped this girl with a Bama sweatshirt on. I told her we had been out of town all weekend and we hadn't heard the score. She told me with a frown on her face that UT won. I smiled and said what was the score. She lowered her head and told me the score. I said thanks and to be careful going back home. She did perk up a little when I told her she was the prettist Bama fan I had seen in a while.”

“The reports of Spurrier going back to FL are just hearsay at this point. Personally, I'd like to see Spurrier come back. The league was more interesting when he was around.

I'm sure his ego is massive enough that he'd make a go of coming back to FL, but why would he want to? He's already revered as a god down there. The expectations would be through the roof. There's more parity in the top half of the league than there has been in a long time, I just don't see him having the same level of success he had in the '90's. He'd be screwing up his legacy.”

perfect example of how the SEC cant win for beating the hell outta each other...its one thing is the conferance is too evenly matched...none of the other conferences seem to have teams who match up as well in as many different categories...we beat ourselves out of a national championship run every year...”

Nor would I, which is why I posted "Let the talent exodus begin," and not "The talent exodus has begun." The semantic difference is important. One instance does not make a trend....but I hope it's the beginning of one.”

“I won't even get into band talk with you Ghoulderman. You know darned well that the USC marching band is mega respected around the freakin world. I don't see any symphony's or cool rock bands inviting your band to play with them. : p

Besides they don't just play things whenever. They play Fight On, our fight song at every first down and touchdown. There is rhyme to the reason.”

of Florida, the Kerry/Edwards team has volunteered to replace fired
coach Ron Zook for the remainder of the season.

"When I played football as a young man in Vietnam, I did not hesitate to
beat the Bulldogs and I won't now. Floridians are tired of this failed
Zook administration. They continued to call the wrong play at the wrong
time in the wrong game. It's time for them to come clean with this
Gator nation."

When asked what he would do differently, however, the senator replied "I
would have done everything differently. I would have recruited the same
players and called the same plays, but other than that I would have done
everything differently. We should not have tried to go it alone against
Mississippi State. The Zook administration has failed us.

Problems immediately arose, however at their first practice on Monday.
When a player was hurt and taken to the hospital, offensive coordinator
John Edwards unexplainably chased the ambulance out of the stadium. It

losers at these football games. We will ensure that every player is a
winner."

The coach would not lay out specific ideas about how to turn around the
season for the Gators, but ensured everyone that he "has a plan." He
insists it involves improving the strength and conditioning program over
several years, but just recently he has voted to cut funding for the
weight lifting equipment by over 6 billion dollars. However, he's going
to upgrade other facilities by raising ticket prices only for those who
contribute over $2000 per year. Other details of his "plan" have not
yet been revealed.

But, at least he's not Ron Zook.”

And honestly, since I've been watching my games at a bar where it's only my alumni recently, I may need to let Wisconsin win. I can only account for one SC siting that wasn't from an alumni event. And to make Michigan win, all I need to do is go to watch their game on Saturday at the RockSport in West Seattle and I will have about 30 sitings for them. Probably more, actually.”
