Haha! I was just kidding about the Gaytors being gay. No right minded gay would combine blue and orange.

I'd love to go to Sipsey but am tied up this weekend. Saturday is my daughters 2nd birthday party. Sunday I'll be about an hour from Sipsey visiting family.

Have fun on your trip.

Nigal, the same holds true for Auburn.

I don't think UAB wants to put the Army score on their resume. They hated to run the score up, but if they didn't, they would have fallen in the rankings.

Sorry about that Geo, but I couldn't help myself.

Perk up, a few years ago, mighty Alabama was brought low by Memphis State, and they got over it.

I think they did, anyway...

Hey, the ultimate insult was during last year's Army-Navy game when the Navy guys in our group were feeling sorry for us Army guys. I'm thinking of going to this year's game with a pinwheel hat or something - maybe a clown suit.

They just fired the coach a couple of weeks ago and named one of his assistants as interim coach, which is to say it will take a few years to rebuild the team at this point whoever takes over. It's a shambles! I can't imagine what it must be like to be one of the players. At least they aren't depending on football for their career.

At one point, Army won five straight from Navy, which means there are two classes of Middies out there who never beat Army. I can see it going the other way now. The only Army-Navy game we won in recent years, Navy fired it's dumbass coach and hired somebody who knows what a football looks like.

Nigal, nor would the gay Denver Broncos, the gay Mets, or gay Auburn. How many other teams can we name with untasteful colors?

I've got it now! Nigal is a big ten athletic director who moonlights as an interior decorator.

I've got a Michigan hat. Seriously cool colors, and I've always loved those awesome helmets. Too bad they play in a #&%!$, dinosaur league.

That's right guys, the Wounded Amoebas are 8 and 0 versus the Vegas line.

"Nigal, nor would the gay Denver Broncos, the gay Mets, or gay Auburn. How many other teams can we name with untasteful colors?”

Acrky, I’ll write slower so you can understand. I said the Gaytors COULDN’T be gay because no gay organization would combine the colors blue and orange. Don’t be a playa hata simply because Michigan’s winning ways stretch clear back to the 1800 and your gaytors only goes back to, what?, the ‘80s?

Actually, the gaytors winning ways stop and starts directly with Dark Visor himself, the Evil Genius, Steve Spurrier. They had a good year his senior year and then starting in '90 when he came back. The mid to late 80's the rose to the level of mediocrity for the arrival of Emmitt Smith.

Actually, the mid 80's they were pretty good. I checked back as far as 1970 and the dominant record was 7-4. I saw some 9-1 here and there and some 4-7's here and there. I did see one 0-11. That had to smart.

Wow! What a history of mediocrity. Michigan however is the national leader in wins and #2 in the highest winning percentage (Notre Dame is #1 in percentage and #2 in wins). Quite an accomplishment for a school that has been around sense 1815.

Cocky Hokies Better Beware
I'm going out into the woods this weekend so I'll miss the action.

VaTech and Pittsburgh?

I wouldn't be surprised if Pitt takes down the Hokies. Larry Fitzgerald looks great.

Lobos put it on CSU 37-34. The Lobos couldn't find a way to stop Bradlee Van Pelt at QB and the Rams slowed the Lobos offense, but too late. Dontrell Moore ended up with 242 yards and three touchdowns much of it in the first half.

UNM was way ahead at the half and pulled to 34-17. Van Pelt's amazing running and great passing brought them to a tie at 34-34 with less than a minute, CSU had the ball and the momentum on their own 30. Van Pelt muffs a snap in shotgun, UNM gets it and kicks a fieldgoal with 4 secs left.

Next week-Air Force. Mountain West is very tight with Utah on top.

Can Tennessee beat Miami. Yes, they can.

However, when theory meets reality, sometimes the results differ.

If UT continues to play the way they have for the past month, Miami by 17.

Wish that I was on ol' Rocky Top Down in the Tennessee hills
Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top,,,Ain't no telephone bills
Once I had a girl on Rocky Top,,Half bear, other half cat
Wild as a mink, but sweet as soda pop,,,I still dream about that

Rocky Top, you'll always be Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top Rocky Top, Tennessee, Rocky Top, Tennessee

Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top Looking for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top,,,Reckon they never will
Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top,,Dirt's too rocky by far
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top, Get their corn from a jar

* Refrain

I've had years of crimped up city life,,, Trapped like a duck in a pen
All I know is it's a pity life ,,Can't be simple again

I s'pose the extra red is in honor of the Sooner's (they are looking awesome). I wonder what the spread against Baylor will be (w/ Sooners 77-0 against A&M, and A&M 73-10 vs, Baylor).

I was happy to see the 'Horns get it together on Saturday... and end up in the top 10 again ('cept in the BCS).

They only beat Army 31-3. Jeez, that's not a lot better than Rutgers and Louisville did.

Have yall heard that the lady that says she was in his room has retracted and told the SI reporter about the retraction BEFORE it went to press? This should get very interesting.

Mike Price gets drunk at a strip club and invites a woman back up to his room for the night, just so they can order scrambled eggs together the next morning.

I'm just passing on what I read. I really don't have a dog in this fight. I couldn't care less if he coaches again or not, or how the lawsuits come out. I'm happy with the coach that we have. I don't see Shula laying a 77-0 egg anytime soon. If memory serves, we came closer to beating OU than anyone.

If Auburn loses to Georgia and Bama then they won't be bowl eligible. That'd be interesting.

Corso the Stupid?
Monday night at a Miami QB Club speaking engagement Lee Corso was asked if Spurrier would ever be back in college football. His response was I think so; at Tennessee. I'll believe it when I see it, but for now the folks in Knoxville are saying something is going on with offensive coaches.
