Yeah, Wounded, you could be right. That is where most "analysts" put us. However, I'm playing the part of the rabid fan this year. Also, Mangino had one of the best raids of the junior colleges this year, if not the best. Quick fix maybe.
In the meantime, I will also be cheering the Irish. Now hear this, all you college football fans! Willingham is your worst nightmare!

Thank you! Finally someone that agree's with me. Just wait and see, I am saying National Champions in 2 years.

Good, you should play the rabid fan. I honestly do not know much about Northwestern this year. Have followed them if years past because they are nearby.

Tell you what. I have an unusual bet for you Dunadan. $5 says Rutgers will have a worse season than Kansas U. You good for it or will I have to threaten to mow your house to collect?

Interesting proposition, Violin.
The Scarlet Knights will beat Buffalo, Army, Navy, and Temple. They could surprise UConn. Hmmmm, what do you think? I think the Jayhawks could definitely pull off a 4-8 year.
Give me a couple of posts to think about it.

"Retarded T's".

And you think the "A's", "AU's", "OSU's", the "K's", the "UGA's", the "ND's", etc, etc, etc are any better?

At least ours is trademarked and properly identified as a "Power T".

Yeah, Kansas State has the "Powercat" trademarked, also. They still have one of the stupidest looking mascots in all of the country, and Wildcats is the name of every team from coast to coast, and Purple sucks.

Intangible: They canned our suck-ass offensive coordinator.

You read our schedule the same way I did, only I'd replace will beat with should beat. When you've been a fan of the Wounded Amoebas as long as I have, you learn not to count on anything.

Listening to a Rutgers fan and a Kansas fan debate the relative strength (or lack of strength) is acutally quite entertaining.

In the SEC, even Vanderbilt fans don't bet that they will go 4 and 8 or worse.

SportsLine.com wire reports

BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU football coach Nick Saban was knocked unconscious about two weeks ago when he fell from his boat and hit his head against a dock.

The accident happened in a lake near his vacation home in Georgia, Saban told New Orleans radio station WWL.

He said he woke up 8 feet under water and paddled toward the surface, where one of the two friends he was with pulled him out.

Saban swallowed water and needed 25 stitches to close cuts in his ear and the back of his head. The stitches have been removed.

He declined to comment further, LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said.

Saban said he was carrying a wakeboard and standing on the ski deck of his boat, something he had done "a thousand times." He slipped and said the next thing he remembered was waking up on the bottom of the lake.

Could TT survive?

All that would be left would be the boring backpackers and their lame gear threads.

I don't know if we can do that, Violin.

Let me consider it for a while.

Wisconsin, Penn State (sort of), and Michigan (especially).

But I do agree that it's a pretty powder-puff schedule for a team who claims the national championship. ONLY FOUR away games?!?!....please... If Ohio State takes it again this season I won't be very impressed...only less confident in the BCS system (if that's possible)

Every Big Ten team on the schedule is like playing the best PAC-10 team. The only teams that can dethrone us come from somewhere deep in British Columbia.

BIG TEN ROCKS???
I JUST DONT SEE HOW PEOPLE ARE SO BLIND!!!!! Big-10, PAC, and ACC all think they have some tough games yet they neverplay anyone worth a SH@T outside of their conference...take miami for instance they are just like OHIO play one or two "decent" teams a year and the rest of the teams would be almost like BYE weeks for SEC teams...anyone who thinks there is a tougher conference than the SEC is ignorant to the dedication and abusive nature of SEC football...these teams beat and battle each other almost every week and they play HARD!! there is no arguing it and anyone who does will be flagged as an ignorant fool in my opinion

Having had ample time to listen to the radio the past three days. (i.e. no power, no TV, but thank goodness for radios)...

I heard where Alabama has the toughest schedule in the country this year. Florida was 7th and Tennessee 8th. Don't ask for the source, because I didn't catch that part, but the concensus is that the SEC east will be a dog fight all year between UGA/UF/UT.

No way Chili!
As far as Army is concerned, they have the toughest schedule. They have to play real football teams, and they have no coach. All they have is Dingle Berry! Alabama should be happy.
