Anyways, I think the only thing funnier than people who think God roots for ND are the folks who get so upset that God doesn't root for their team. :)

“Secondly, I feel for you Dayhiker. When your school has little history or respect such as does Alabama, they get to be the stepping stone for every coach that is aiming for greater glory. They don't say goodbye first. They just skip out at the first sign of either money or a "career move". It gets real tiring. We ended up the 1992 season ranked #10 in the nation after spanking UCLA in a bowl game. Our coach spent the next season shopping his goods on the market and even forgot about recruiting. I'll bet Fran at least continued to recruit for Bama while he was still their employee.
It ain't fair, but that is the way of the world in college ball these days. Why do you think we love Roy Williams so much around here? He could have made a "career move" to his alma mater, but he showed us some loyalty. You don't know how good that feels after losing more than a few good coaches.
Anyway, I hope you find a great coach. If you can straighten out your sanctions nightmare, everyone knows that Alabama could be on the national championship scene, again.

Looking like the Orange Bowl. I've been hoping Orange Bowl all along... but I guess it remains to be seen......

Man, this system is driving tour operators FRICKIN NUTS!! You people don't realize the scurrying that will be going on. At our bus company, they've been figuring Rose Bowl all along (despite my murmurings... which have yet to be proven true).

They have no Orange Bowl contingencies. I said to them Friday, "Aren't you getting Miami accommodations ready, just in case?" So it could well be a major headache Monday!!

Oh, I suppose now I've spoken out of turn and jinxed the whole thing, anyhoo...... pfffffffft!

We're getting recruits from there already (although Banks came from a junior college)... But this will certainly be additional great exposure.

“Liz, Belle Glade is definitely a football factory. I think the high school down there sends more players to college ball than anyother school in the country. We have a recruit coming in from there. The story on him was similar to the one on Banks. Poorest area in the country. Its football or the cane fields or prison. Father in jail. etc.

Your right, I would rather be in the Orange Bowl than the Gator, but after finishing 4th in the conference after a late season 3 game losing streak, I still have to say, relatively speaking, we got the best deal that anyone could hope to get.”
