“In all fairness (just in case there might be any Bullfrawg fans on this site) the rivalry seems to have taken a turn for the better in recent years. When I was in school, and jawja was pounding US every year, those Dirty Frawgs were obnoxious AND violent. Apparently that ain't so as often now. A friend of mine, from work, went to the game and said that there was the usual rowdy fan behavior but nothing over the top by either side. He said that Florida and jawja fans were actually partying together in relative (if not rambuncious) harmony.

That's what I like to hear. It's important for the fans to get along and respect each other. Since the pattern seems to be that Georgia fans behave themselves better when they're losing...THAT'S WHY IT'S IMPORTANT FOR FLORIDA TO BEAT THE DOG SNOT OUT OF GERGIA EVERY SINGLE YEAR FOR THE NEXT MILLENIUM!!!”

1. Uncle Dunny likes to pick upsets. Where will that come from, this weekend? Boys and girls, the team that gets its corn in a jar will beat the Big Whirling Wind. Tennessee 24, Miami 14.
2. Yawn...Purdue will drink many boilermakers after a whuppin' by the Buckeyes.
3. I keep expecting Lou to pull out some big victories. Not this game. Hogs squeal to victory! Arkansas by 10 over South Carolina.
4. Don't you wish that Iowa played Ohio State this year?
5. Kentucky will beat LSU by 3.
6. Kansas State will spank Iowa State.
7.Oklahoma State will beat Texas Tech.

Can they do it? Yes, the stars could align themselves in such a manner as to allow that to happen. However, I have noticed Miami tends to play just above the level of competition exhibited by their opposition. I don't expect to see the same Miami team that has played the past couple of weeks. But who knows?? Miami was supposed to crush UT in the 86 Sugar Bowl and that didn't happen.”

Our "new" coach, Dingle Berry, is still trying to find the pieces of the puzzle. They're around there somewhere. Sure hope he finds them by Dec. when THE game takes place. I hope he is on the job market on Dec. 8, win or lose. If you can't win one frgn game after being coach for three years ...

At least Bob Sutton won a game every now and again, and actually got them to a bowl and won the Commander's Trophy the same year.

Even the guys at Rutgers used to salivate when they played Army. That was their one win!

I'm almost ready to say that Miami is the strongest team in the nation. The SEC is weak this year, and the Big 12 doesn't have any undefeated teams. Could the Luckeyes pull one out from the Canes? Count me among the doubters, but, as of now, I won't say it's not possible.

Kansas was tied with Nebraska for about 5 minutes. Then our second quarterback went out with injury. Would it help to get an offensive line, do you think?

Hey Chili, I heard on the news this morning that UT is not on there list to play in that bowl. If UT did go there it would be the 3rd time this yr they had played in the Coliseum and they (the people in charge) just don't think the fans would show up again. Just think, when is the last time you heard we really don't want UT in our bowl game.”

“Chili, it isn't a sign of the times. It is just that they bowl people want a good fit with the team coming in. They want a team that will bring lots of fans and will be in town for days before the game.
If UT was to play here, the bowl people just don't see the Big Orange Nation coming in for a few days before the game. The UT fans would probably just drive in for the game and then leave. With Nashville being in the center of the state it is a easy drive from Knoxville, Memphis and Chattanooga, no need to come and stay all week.
That is there reasoning behind it. You can see why they really don't have UT on there list...no money for the town and isn't that what the bowl games are about...MONEY”
