I looked at Kansas' schedule and it didn't look like they have played a very tough schedule. When will the NCAA get it's head out of it's ass and give the fans what they want...a play off system! I know of no other sport that has a opinion ranking system like football does.

Look up and down this thread. Hardly any mention of them. In fact, You'll see where I've predicted LSU will ultimately wear this year's mythical crown.

The University of Georgia Bulldogs, aka 800 pound gorilla in the room, are not ranked at #7 because of their losses to the mighty Cocks and Vols. They are there for not losing to the NCAA Division IA powerhouses Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and Kentucky.

We have a great offense. Herschel 2000 has come into full bloom in recent weeks. The second half is his, and he pummels relentlessly. And he's such a young'un yet.

Stafford is the best soph QB this side of Gainesville.

Our offensive attack is deadly balanced.

Our defense is fast and effective.

One-and-one-half weeks from now the Dawgs will be crowned SEC champs.

It's a shame that so few are able to share as much as we are so blessed with in the Southeastern Conference...

I would like to see a game between:

DH - that was uncalled for (your latest post).

“Props to Illinois! I didn't get to see the game (who schedules weddings during Buckeye games?!) I was worried going into the game, because I've seen the Illini play this year a few times, and that Juice Williams is awsome when he's healthy. Anyway, next week is going to be epic, as usual.

If things fall the way they should, I'm still predicting a Kansas v. OSU match-up for the BCS championship!

You must have missed my over-rated take on the SEC. I believe Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky and S. Carolina were all ranked in the top 15 at one point - yet none are ranked now. SEC fans think thier conf. is so superior - there is no basis for it except hype. I can't help but draw a parallel for the current political admin., and its regional support base - much hype and belief based on nothing - the result - failure and loss of credilibity for those who concocted the hype and "belief".

BB - just calling it like a I see. When yall are kicking butt and taking names you're here like a tiger. When you get beat you disappear. Your explanation for the title game was that you didn't even watch most of it. That's probably correct, I wouldn't have watched the last 3 qtrs either. Still, you didn't show up to take your medicine. Then, about 4-5 weeks ago when Florida started doing poorly you show back up and say how yall were really the better team overall, blah, blah, blah.

I actually don't know that to think about the SEC this year. Sometimes it'll be strong and we beat up on one another, others we suck and beat up on one another. In both instances the records look about like they do now. I think this is one of those years wer're down. Our best team got beat by KY. The representative from the East was blown out by a 6-5 Bama team. The #2 team in the East had to beat us in OT. Early on, I was impressed, but I think the whole conference has slid downhill through the year. As always, we'll see come bowl season, but this may be a year we get our come-upance.....and if it happens I'll show back up to take it like a man.

I posted the next day after Illiois beat us, proping Juice Williams. How that is construed as "not showing up" is beyond me.

As for the game last year, I had broken my thumb, in two, the day prior to the game. I was doped up because they couldn't operate in the little town I was in at the time, and didn't have internet access. Further, I have zero respect for arclite, florida, or thier obnoxiuos fans, so I could care less what they think. But you know this DH, because I said so in an email a few weeks after the game last year.

As for the SEC, I think most non-SEC fans are tired of hearing how dominant the SEC is from thier fans, or the dufuses like Mark May. The SEC is a good confernece, but not dominant over other conferences. Here is yet more proof:

* Over the past ten years, 3 SEC teams won the National Championship, 2 Big Ten Teams, 2 ACC, 2 Big 12, and 1 Pac-Ten - Hardly a dominating performance.

* From 1900 to 1935 (NCF), and 1936 until present (AP) The Big Ten has 26 National Championships, Big 12 - 17, SEC - 17, Notre Dame - 13, Other - 12, ACC - 11, PAC-10 - 9, Big East - 6, and Army - 3.

* From 1900 until present, according to any team being ranked as #1 by any recognized ranking body, the breakdown is as follows:
1, Big Ten - 59
2. SEC - 50
3. Big 12 - 47
4. Other - 42
5. PAC-10 - 29
6. ACC - 24
7. Notre Dame - 21
8. Big east - 12
9. Army - 5

Auburn is currently ranked. Conference vs. conference should look from top to bottom. It's not just who's ranked highest or who's won the most titles, it's also how does your conferences best team handle my conferences doormat. I distinctly remember last season that "we deserve to be in the championship game more than Florida" Michigan struggled with Vanderbilt for most of their game (in the "big house") before pulling away in the fourth quarter. 'Course, that's what usually happens in the 'Bama/Vandy game too.

It's one reason why I'm in favor of playoffs. Just show up and put out or shut up. Simple.

This season has been so strange. Even with UT on the cusp of playing in the SEC championship I can't recall a time I've been more apathetic about the football program.

Fulmer has got to be the luckiest sum#&%!$ ever, to still have a shot at the championship. One of the ESPN radio guys said if we were ever bombed he'd want to be standing next to Fulmer.

I guess my conversion to basketball fan is complete. Now the UT men's basketball team...they're good, scary good. Easily the most talent ever assembled on a UT bball team.

Also, Darren McFadden just took something away from Tim Teabag.

If Connecticut wins, and Kansas wins, it's free beer for me or Dunadan.

I like Hawaii. My favorite aunt's been living there for more than 60 years after becoming a civilian employee of the Marines right after Pearl Harbor and she's totally thrilled to see them doing so well.

I watched a bunch of the game with Boise State last night and it didn't seem like a match between between top ranked teams. #13 Texas vs. unranked A&M looked like it was being played on a higher level than the #15 Hawaii va. #19 Boise. As much as I want to think highly of Hawaii, I agree with those who say Hawaii is over-rated.

The BCS computer - alone and before taking the other polls into consideration - put Hawaii at # 22 and Boise at #26 going into this game.

Mizzou/Kansas was pretty good. I've never seen Mizzou play defense like that, and I grew up in MO. Condolenses, Dun, the Fighting Manginos were a great story. Mizzou will prolly choke in the Big 12 championship game.

West Virginia and Ohio St. will likely play in the BCS championship game, and I'll sleep through it.

Cats - Vols. Good football moves. National championship in the Dome next weekend.

Looks like UGA will hafta settle for a measly 10-2 regular season.

Poor cusses - you non-SEC folk.

Well Dunnie - your team had a magical season - only to lose to a team that can't even spell their own state.

I sure hope WV makes it to the championship. As badly as they beat us, it was amazing watching Pat White.

Congrats to HikingTiger (War Eagle)!

Sorry Dayhiker, at least the Bear wasn't here to see it.

I'll be heading to Atlanta to see our LSU tigers take on Chilli and his TN Vols. We proved that we were not a #1 team Friday night on our home turf. Hats off to the Hogs.

SON _OF A BUSH!

NO JAYHAWK- v. - BUCKEYE National Championship game.

The greatest Linebacker in the history of football (both college and pros) called the National Title Game 3 weeks ago. Chris Speilman predicted the OSU v. WVa match-up. Only Oklahoma can make it happen (sorry Pitt, let's be realistic). Oklahoma (who is a top 4 team (Ohio State, Missouri, Oklahoma, USC), must win to get a BCS bowl. Mr. Stoops will have his boyz prepared, and old Mizzou will lose, leading to SEC TT college football fans NATIONAL NIGHTMARE II - The Ohio State Buckeyes in a National Championship game.

I only wish we could face the over-rated LSU squad. Instead, we'll have a tough match-up with WVa.

Congrats to Tennessee for wading through the massive amount of mediocrity in the SEC, and winning the games that mattered. Fulmer is THE BEST COACH in the SEC, the rest suck, or the good ones bail to better programs becuase SEC fans don't respect good coaching (Bryant set the bar too high).

Les Miles is a bad coach, and I hope he goes to Michigan, for the sake of my good buddy who is an LSU fan, and my selfish interests.

I'm a Sooner now baby!
