Looks like Rutgers should crack the top 25 again after beating #2.

Since Ohio State beat suckass MSU by only 7 I'm sure all the retarded voters will slobber all over themselves and come up with some new ranking that's even better than #1 to give them to reward their mediocrity. Like Super Secret #1 or #1 A+. I mean phuck! They beat Kent State and a 5-2 MSU in back to back weeks? Who could have imagined such a team could ever even exist? It's a Festivus miracle I say!

Yeah I know. I was afraid this would happen. Florida has our number year in and year out, plus a passing game, which LSU didn't have. We scored enough, we just couldn't stop their offense from outscoring us by a touchdown. 20 years in a row they've beat us.

Oh well, we're worlds ahead of where we were last year, or where I thought UK football would ever be.

Nice road win for us, as a 10 point underdog! And our archrivals lost for the 2nd week in a row to an unranked team!!

Crash bang that is TOO funny. I’ve got a lot more respect for you now. Apparently you managed to survive AND be a good sport about it. Now all you’ve got to do is survive the next “savior” coaching change. Sorry, you can’t have our coaches. We’ll need them as we challenge for another NC over the next few years.

Thursday night I watched a great game between two good teams. My friend, the Rutgers fan, said that all the naysayers (especially the ND fans) at his local bar told him that Rutgers couldn’t beat South Florida before the game. After they were proven wrong about that, they switched directions. He said they all told him that South Florida was overrated anyway. There isn’t enough money to force me to live in NJ. The leftists there never run out of stupid arguments to avoid examining empirical evidence.

After they’ve won for enough years, the NY/NJ area may get a new bunch of bandwagon jumpers. Congratulations violin. Congratulations for being a fan through the tough years. Rutgers has been building a fine program despite what their leftist professors think. Rutgers has a respectable program and a good team.

I flipped past the Michigan St, game as fast as I could because it was another puke-ten yawner, but I did catch something hysterically funny.

Once again the media was pandering to their customers. As Ohio St. was struggling to beat unranked Michigan St. by seven points, one announcer said, “This just shows that Ohio St. has the best defense in the country.”

I thought I’d fall out of my chair I was so doubled up with laughter.

If I keep repeating, “The moon is made from green cheese” I’ll bet I could get some big-ten fans to jump on board with that. Then if I can convince the northern media there’s a story involved, pretty soon I’d have a bunch of big-city Yankees all believing that the moon is made from green cheese.

It’s been said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.”

Ohio State is Oh and eight.

Media fueled stupidity is an amazing thing to watch. Do I hear stirrings of another “GAME OF THE CENTURY” between big, bad, puke-ten teams?

I know somebody who had a great time on Saturday! Did I ever tell anyone what a big Bama fan I am? Alabama just goes to prove that you can still win games despite ugly uniforms.

Is that whining I hear in the distance? It sounds like something about “tough out-of-state games.” Must be my imagination.

“Who would have thought SC and KY would be the two biggest games left on our schedule?”
Chili

You may want to check last year’s quotes where somebody said to watch out for a Spurrier coached South Carolina team and somebody else dismissed that warning.

Apparently Vanderbilt dismissed it as well, but with better results.

Stickman, give’em time. Kentucky is playing some very good football and has nothing to be ashamed of. Give Meyer a week off to prepare and his record is awesome. Kentucky gave Florida everything they wanted to handle after a bye week to prepare. Kentucky showed they belong in the SEC on Saturday.

Now if only their basketball team could find a way to beat Florida, they’d really have something.

You must be loving this season, Bowlder. The Pac looks like it has some good teams (at least offensively). USC, Cal, or Oregon should have no problems with the pathetic fodder the puke-ten will be sending your way this year.

The big-ten should have their BCS tie-in stripped. All the computer services show how pathetic they rank. They’re just as pathetic as their record against the SEC shows.

If Ohio State gets to the title game by playing cupcakes again, they won’t get any respect from knowledgeable college football fans. Their SOS is pathetic (Colley, Sagarin, Massey, and Anderson/Hester). Once again, it’s just pathetic. They may have delusions of grandeur but they don’t fool anyone who knows college football.

NO RESPECT FOR NO-CLASS PRETENDERS!

You wouldn't be referring to Rutgers English professor, William C. Dowling, would you?

I don't know if he's a leftist or not, but he sure is an idiot. He took a few pot shots at my father, a former Rutgers professor (and a leftist to boot) for his role on the academic advisory committee. I am convinced that Dowling is a racist, which makes me suspect that he's not a leftist, but one from your camp.

Rutgers, part two: No excuses for obscene fans

“…The cowardice of the online world never ceases to amaze me. Reminds me a little of the fans who sit high up in the stands, in a wall of anonymity, and curse and insult people they would never confront face-to-face. …”

How about you, violin? I have absolutely no problem confronting ANYONE, ANYWHERE face to face. Oh yeah, violin, Libertarians have a racist reputation don’t they? You really are a joisey idiot.

Dowling, whoa, you catch on quick don’t you? Dowling and all the other professors who joined Rutgers 1000. You’re not implying Dowling is the only leftist, racist, idiot at Rutgers are you?

You leftists pretend to see right-wing racists hiding behind every bush in order to fuel your political propaganda. It’s extremely funny to see your own politically correct stupidity shining back in your eyes:

“…And since the 15-member board gave the school president, Francis L. Lawrence, a unanimous vote of support, there continues to be a threat of disruption.

The furor over Lawrence was set off when remarks he made last November were publicized two weeks ago and taken by some to be racist. …”

Wow! Apparently this has been going on for some time. Sounds as if there’s a racist under every rock in ol’ leftist joisey.

But they’re a classy bunch…no?

Rutgers, part two: No excuses for obscene fans

“As a Rutgers grad and Navy veteran, who sits in Section 108, Row 2, Seats 17-21 (got it, Fatbill?) right next to the student section, I think I have a pretty good perspective on what happened the other night. At field level, the taunts were loud, bullying and classless. For a program that has been everybody's whipping boy for 150 years, SOME Rutgers fans sure have short memories.”

Well if we can't refer to our past, that kind of rules out talking about past accomplishments, which means so far this year Florida basketball isn't doing any better than Kentucky. But there's no need to be an eternal optimist when you're a UK basketball fan, the facts speak for themselves. If Florida ever develops a tradition of great basketball, you'll begin to understand what I'm talking about. Otherwise it will be another UNLV-type program. A flash in the pan.

It also makes it hard to argue about the SEC dominance of the Big 10 in football.

Why is Ohio St #1?

please - somebody 'splain this to me!

Their best win was at Purdue (currently No. 32 according to Sagarin). The Buckeyes' only other victory over a Sagarin top-50 team was at home Saturday against No. 42 Michigan State. And, MI St SHOULD have managed to win that game - Oh St got LUCKY. Four of Ohio State's wins are over teams ranked 92nd or worse.

I predict a downfall.... starting in Happy Valley on Saturday.

Their remaining opponents have a combined record of 23-9.

(heavily plagarized from espn.com - Pat Forde's column)

Boston College gets a similar review... they won't finish the season in the top 4 BCS rankings.

I especially loved this little bit of analysis from Mr. Forde:

The Perfect Five

Start with the Perfect Five, noting that they are perfect in record only. The Dash has to ask: Is this the worst collection of unbeaten teams ever?

None has a victory over a team currently in the BCS standings. None plays in what Jeff Sagarin's computer ranks as one of the top two conferences (SEC and Big East). And none has even played what Sagarin says is a top-three team in its own conference. (emphasis added)

In other words: You're on borrowed time, gents.

The Big ten cannot help that they suck. That is just a fact. The polls should then reflect this. Yes, LSU should be no. 1 and you could probably line up the rest of the SEC and PAC-10 teams right behind and keep confrences like the Big Ten and the Big East out alltogether.

I say do away with the ranking system as it is now anyway. People get too caught up in who is no. 1. Everyone knows OSU shouldn't be ranked no. 1

What do these online universities have in common?
W. Kentucky
Troy
Florida Atlantic
Louisiana Laffayette

Middle Tennessee St.
Tulane
Louisiana Tech
W. Carolina

So. Miss
LA Laffayette (again)

They make up 85% of the SEC non-conference games played this year.

Only Tennessee and LSU had enough balls to play perrenial decent football programs. I mean - WHAT THE Fhuck is Gardner Web? Is that a college, or some high school?

Big Ten opponents:

Washington
Oregon
Notre Dame
Notre Dame (again)
Missouri
Syracuse
Washington State
Notre Dame (again)

Notre Dame (again)
Syracuse
Iowa State

At least the Big Ten will sack up and play teams from competetive conferences year in and year out. Also, most of the other non-con games are played against MAC schools, which is a million times better than the Big South or Sun Belt.
