“Yeah, coming back in Jan. Knowing my luck, theres gonna be a blizzard when I'm trying to drive a truck through the mtns. But I cant wait!!!!

Anyways, really, prices are so cheap right now and if i can get a loan, I am looking at condos. I hear a new light rail is being built from Golden to the airport? Is that true? Roam, how did you like Arvada? Im not sure if you still live there?? I liked where I lived in Littleton but Im going to need good access to downtown.

“I don't think they've broken ground on the new tracks yet - it'll be years, but it's in the planning stage at least. Arvada is nice, but not the hippest place to be - but it is about 20 minutes to downtown - even in morning traffic and if you can do the bus, then your in even better shape. You oughtta check out the downtown area itself - there's some nice condo type stuff, but with a pet that might be less than idea.

Littleton is tooooo far from the Park, but has decent access to the I 70 corridor, Arvada has both, plus being closer to Boulder for the things Boulder offers that no other place has.

She worked for a closing/title company and knew realtors - probably still does, but last I heard she wasn't working there any longer.”

“Ok thanks. Littleton is actually very convenient to the mts...I could get from my house to boulder in 35 mins taking 470 to the 93 :)

I thought about downtown area, but you're right, i need some place to take Layla every day. I'd have to live near a park. Also, I would be going into downtown in the evenings for school, so probably wouldnt get too much traffic. Classes are 6-10 pm. Does the RTD run that late?

“i don't know that area all that well, but i believe its pretty cool. Good location to get to downtown AND to the mtns.

93 gets closed in the winter now and then - it turns into white outs when snow blows across off the foothills. It's a good route - i go that way a lot to get to work, but you can't count on it in the winter.

just move to boulder and go to CU, then all ya need is a bike.

This is a weekend backpacking trip. More of an overnighter, but we'll be camping somewhere near a trailhead on the Friday night before, I think. Roam has the details.

I'm sure there will be plenty more happening before the winter is over. I'm curious to know how snowpack will be on the front range as spring approaches. Last year the trail going up to Heart Lake in James Peak Wilderness still had waste high snow in mid-June.”

“I'm not aware of any TT'rs living way over there. It's a beautiful part of the state though - if you get a chance to visit - i highly recommend it. Stop off in the Denver area on your way thru. :)”
