Rest In Peace!
“Carroll O'Connor (aka. Archie Bunker)
This sucks, that guy was funny.
“Probably a broken heart.”
“My dear old dad never liked the show, thought Archie Bunker was a pinko faggot. He liked Meathead because he thought he was science fiction (he was also convinced I was from a different planet). Things really were better back then, all you had to do to get a rise out of dear old, dear old was skip a hair cut. Now kids have to have nails installed God knows where on their bodies. That's progress, I guess, but, hey, like I said, I'm just a sensitive new age guy.”
“I will miss the brooding rhythmic guitar of John Lee Hooker...dead at 83. That dude rocked for 60 years!
i guess you missed the blues thread that was up all morning.”
“I know. I'm fat, slow and old.”
“you're not THAT fat!”
Atkins recorded more than 75 albums of guitar instrumentals and sold more than 75 million albums. He played on hundreds of hit records, including those of Elvis Presley (Heartbreak Hotel), Hank Williams Sr. (Your Cheatin' Heart, Jambalaya) and The Everly Brothers (Wake Up Little Susie).”
“What about Jack Lemmon? He was a wonderfully funny man. He was great in Mr. Roberts.
He ate lunch with a big group of men in the restaurant that I managed in NY. It's said that he blends in with others. I loved him, but did not notice him until he left, and I said good-bye to him looking with my eyes wide open in shock. I'm sure he got a kick out of it.”
“I have some of Chet's music. I was sorry to hear of his death. Don't forget his eye for talent either.”
“Elvis is dead and I don't feel so good myself.”
“Confererate Flags are at half-mast!
Leon Wilkeson, former bassest for Lynyrd Skynyrd and a survivor of the '76 plane crash, has passed on to the other side.
If there's a Rock-n-Roll Heaven...they gotta have one hell of a band!”
Willie Is Prolly Whaling
A country outlaw rides into the sunset.”
“Death to Luckenbach Texas.”
“He was 64.”
“The funniest man alive!
Until he died :(”
ROT IN PIECES
“The terrorist bastard that was just reported on the news as having blown himself up with a grenade!”
“Live fast die hard...:|”
“Michael Soltys hung himself in his cell.
No one is crying over that one. He saved the CA taxpayers a lot of money.”
Hard To Believe It's Been 20 Years Now
“Mar 5 1963
Patsy Cline, whose country hits included "Crazy" and ''She's Got You," dies in a plane crash near Camden, Tenn., at age 31. Also killed were Grand Ole Opry stars Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins and pilot Randy Hughes, Miss Cline's manager. Her life was dramatized in the movie, "Sweet Dreams," starring Jessica Lange as Miss Cline.

John Belushi dead”
My Mom May 2000
“RIP Mom I miss you very much!
You are always with me when I am on the trail.
“Very nice Crazy Mike!
You're not so crazy after all.”
“My mom was the best.
I miss her very much!
“crazy mike, that's very sweet.

“Died four days after our first hike together (her first EVER).
After the hike (even during the hike), I realized I had found something for which I had long searched:
a hiking partner.
She died the following Thursday. That was just over two years ago.
After a couple months grief period, I was adopted by her replacement.
I named her "Sarabelle".”
Fever Night Fever Night...We Know How To Do It
btw - Don't anyone do a search for "rip" as the results will show all threads with those letters successively...and there's LOTs of "Trip" threads. lol”
“Christopher Reeve (aka Superman)
I'll bet he's walking now.
Regardless, he's in a better place.”
“whoops. maybe i should read all the threads before i post.
very sad indeed.”
“Heart attack at 41.
That's how old I am.”
“Methinks he might have abused his a heart a bit more than you.”
“Well, true. The only steroids I've ever taken were to clear up a bad case of prickly heat.”
“Wow, first Gordon Cooper and now Faget. The Mercury program pioneers are having a bad week!”
I don't know what happened, he was healthy and happy last night when I checked up on him, he ate yesterday just fine and was playing like his normal self, running around with his toy like a maniac bunny, this morning when I went out to give him his food and his fresh water he was dead. Had died sometime during the night.
He was a really cool rabbit, a great pet who loved people. It really sucks. I buried him in the garden next to the rose and put a marker there with his favorite toy and some of his favorite snacks, callendula flowers. :(

“=( I'm sorry Spirit. What a bummer.”
“Sorry Spirit. Sounds like a good friend.
PS - If the food is gone in the morning, don't be too surprised. It was probably some other animal.”
“There is nothing he liked more then his toy and his walks on the leesh when I was in the garden. The cat will miss him I'm sure, they used to run around like maniacs together.
We'd rescued him from a dark dingy pet shop, where he'd been kept in a tiny cage on a bottom shelf with no one paying attention to him, sitting in his own filth. At least he had a good time while he was with us.

“......hugs....sorry SC :(”
“Sorry to heat that, SC. Some bunnies love being walked on a leash. I had 2 that liked it. Talk about traffic stoppers though.
Rabbits are great snugglers aren't they?”
“So Sorry --------”
“I had many bunnies over the years I lived in NYC and Upstate NY- they never let on when they are gonna do the "long stretch".
I have one buried in NYC (near the East River) and the other in Shokan,NY. Their names were Sasha and Joe. They were very good pets. Sorry for your loss.”
Here today, gone tomorrow!
“Try doing something nice for someone today. It may be too late tomorrow, or even later today.
A friend of my daughter's stayed here Wednesday and Thursday nights. Saturday noon she was killed by a dump truck about twenty miles north of here. She has stayed here previously because of fights, etc., with her boyfriend. The boyfriend was in a Circle of Care Facility near here a week ago. Then he was moved to a drying out facility in southern Florida. After that she found proof and he admitted to two-timing her.
The police are still investigating the accident. The have found some missing equipment on the truck, which may have contributed to the accident. We don't know if the girl's fragile condition contributed the the accident or not. Almost no details have been released, yet. The police said that it will take them about two months in their investigation of another dump truck accident July 4th on I-95 in the same vicinity. Three people were killed in that accident due to unsecured material in the dump truck.
The girl's step-mother is here from Mass. staying with us. The body is being shipped back to Mass. The step-mother was able to finish all the duties required here in 1/2 day and will return tomorrow.
There is a second story to all this, but it does not involve this girl's death, directly. The world could sure use some improvements, locally as well as over the entire globle.
So dress up good today. Wear your best smile and extend your most cheerful greetings.”
“That is sad.”
“Sad, but excellent suggestion in the last sentence.”
“The girl had a two-year old son.”
