The after party is still rockin, but we left early so Our pup didn't eat the house. Awesome night, band, venue, friends, and craic!!” 12:14:12 AM 3/27/06 “last week, From First to Last, Hawthorne Heights, All American Rejects, and Fall Out Boy at Magness Arena, University of Denver. Awesome show, All American was great, FOB put on a terrific show.” 10:12:12 PM 4/19/06 “I saw Floater at the Crocodile cafe in Seattle on Friday night(5-19), just a totally killer show. I got to meet the band in the bar before the show and they autographed my ticket stub!!! Way f%$*@n cool!!! Check out their web site http://www.floatermusic.com/” 7:02:46 PM 5/21/06 “Woo Hoo... We are going to our first concert at Red Rocks tonight to see the Counting Crows and Goo Goo Dolls. I'm stoked!” 3:07:17 PM 7/05/06 “I'm going to see Candlebox and Puddle of Mud this Saturday. It's been like 10 years since the last time I saw Candlebox and am looking forward to it.” 3:11:30 PM 7/05/06 “Ozzfest came to town on June 29th, the opening show of the tour, here at White River Ampitheater, Auburn, Washington. Alot of smaller acts on the second stage, but on the main stage was Dragonforce, a European speed metal band, Luguna Coil, I didn't get to see cause I was stuck in line to get drinks but my wife says they're great, Hatebreed, put on a good set, Avenged Sevenfold, totally rocked and even played a tribute song to Dimebag Darrell, Walk, Disturbed, always a good act, System Of A Down, they of course were acting alittle crazy but they're one of my favorite bands to see live and I wasn't disapointed at all, and then came The Ozzman Himself, this was the fifth Ozzfest I've seen so it really didn't break my heart to leave after three songs to beat the traffic, and he was putting on the same show I saw two years ago, but I do have to say that Zack Wild is a incredable guitarist. All in all, a great time was had but I do think that The Gorge Ampitheater is way better than this place could ever be.” 11:42:00 PM 7/05/06 “"I'm going to see Candlebox and Puddle of Mud this Saturday. It's been like 10 years since the last time I saw Candlebox and am looking forward to it." Nigal I just saw Candlebox 2 days ago, as much as I can remember, the show was awesome... I really don't remember much though, other than I nearly got kicked out once, and they asked me to leave once. I jumped over the barrier and the crowd voted on whether or not I could stay in... of course I could stay.” 11:57:37 PM 7/05/06 “We got a little taste of Ozfest here in Denver tonight - the big show skipped us so some of the bands decided to make a side trip through Mile High just for kicks. Opening up was Bleeding Through, followed by Lacuna Coil (awesome act!). Then Atreyu hit it HARD, LOUD and FAST - left us ready to go for Avenged Sevenfold (one of the best and most unique young guitarists on the scene these days) and finally Disturbed finished us out. The show started at 5:30 and didn't wrap up for about 5 hours! Disturbed played a really nice long set.” 12:15:34 AM 7/06/06 “"but I do have to say that Zack Wild is a incredable guitarist." I've been waiting years to see Zack live with Black Lable Society but they never come close enough sans Ozzfest.” 7:23:05 AM 7/06/06 “Hey Simer, if you like Candlebox you should pick up Kevin Martin and the Hywatts' The Possibility of Being. It's just as good as any of the Candlebox CDs and I think it's only about $10 on their site. You can also check out a few of their videos on the site. http://www.kmband.com/news.php” 7:25:30 AM 7/06/06 “We got a little taste of Ozfest here in Denver tonight - the big show skipped us so some of the bands decided to make a side trip through Mile High just for kicks. I wish we had that nice of a bill - Ozzfest cancelled, I had my tickets, so a few of the bands booked local clubs, I have my disturbed tickets and hatebreed is opening but that's it on the bill so far. Dragonforce and Lacuna Coil are also playing at a different club the same night.” 9:37:04 AM 7/06/06 “sux that ozfest cancelled! This is the second year in a row oz skipped Denver - someone told me that he couldn't perform at the altitude??? i dunno Lacuna Coil was really good - really cool sound - way more than just speed metal/screamo - they have good song writing ability. last edited: 7/06/06 9:40:42 AM” 9:39:42 AM 7/06/06 “I agree, I just saw lacuna coil like a month ago. This is the second year in a row that ozzfest has cancelled, and the third year in a row that they haven't come to within like 400 miles of here.” 9:42:01 AM 7/06/06 “ozzy's gettin too decrepit - Albuquerque is as close as they got to Denver - that's like a 9 hour drive or something.” 9:43:00 AM 7/06/06 “Well there goes the altitude argument, Albuquerque is higher than Denver (by about 30 feet).” 9:51:44 AM 7/06/06 “You'd think with Denver's drug laws Ozzy would want to live there. LOL!” 9:57:43 AM 7/06/06 “there was a guy going down the line last night with a petition to get a vote on the ballot to legalize pot in the city or county just south of denver too.” 11:44:15 AM 7/06/06 “Too bad to hear about the cancellations, but your lucky to see the killer acts in a club setting. I missed Atreyu on the second stage, along with Black Lable Society, but I could hear them from afar and the croud was going nuts. Thats one thing I didn't like about White River Ampitheater, all the G.A. seating was in the back on the sloped grass hill, so once you picked your location, you could leave without the possibility that someone else snabs your spot.” 6:25:49 PM 7/06/06 “This Friday I'm going to see Floater at the Showbox in Seattle, then next Friday is the Unholy Alliance Tour- featuring Lamb of God, Children of Bodon, Mastodon, Thine Eyes Bleed and headlining ...... SLAYER!!!!!!!! at Qwest Field Event Center on July 14.” 6:36:56 PM 7/06/06 “that'll be a good show!” 8:30:16 PM 7/06/06 “Sunday I'm going to see Sammy Hagar in Pittsburgh. They'll be setting up the Cabo Wabo village for some pre-concert festivites.” 8:21:26 AM 7/07/06 “Sammy puts on a great show! I went to see him here around Thanksgiving and admition was a can of food for the needy. He played a good 2 1/2 hours. His live show really showcases his ability on a guitar that never comes out on his albums.” 8:25:21 AM 7/07/06 “"This Friday I'm going to see Floater at the Showbox in Seattle, then next Friday is the Unholy Alliance Tour- featuring Lamb of God, Children of Bodon, Mastodon, Thine Eyes Bleed and headlining ...... SLAYER!!!!!!!! at Qwest Field Event Center on July 14" stumblingnorweigen that show starts like right now, I'm not going to make it, the floor was sold out anyway, and I'm not about to be caught sitting down, or stuck in one place.” 4:54:16 PM 7/08/06 “So the Floater show Friday was awsome!!! Not too many people at the show, but they still came out for an encore and played until 1 am. Way cool. During 'Peter the Destroyer', one of my all-time favorite tunes (it's like 12 min. long live) they all of a sudden broke into a slow chunky drop D version of Iron Man, like right in the middle of the song! I say that any of you along the west coast, you should go see these guys live, you won't be disapointed. simer- I don't know how they will be conducting the seperation of G.A. from seated tickets at Slayer, but if they're doing it with stamps on the wrist, I'll get you on the floor. e-mail me.” 7:30:59 PM 7/09/06 “simer- o.k., I'm a dumbass, I just realized you meant your town, sorry about that.” 12:56:14 AM 7/10/06 “haha, no problem - I have a friend that went to the show and says it was incredible - I wish I would have gone anyway, I guess it wasn't too difficult to get on to the floor, always depends on the show, people, etc.” 10:22:31 AM 7/10/06 “WOW!!! Slayer show was the #&%!$e!!! I missed Thine Eyes Bleed due to drinking at the Pyramid Brewery, but showed up just in time to see Children of Bodon, a Finish death-metal band that really put on a good set, even though it was only like 25 minutes. Even caught a drum stick! Then Mastodon came on and stole the show from C.O.B., the new wave of metal is blowing me away, these guys were really good. When Lamb of God started, the place went nuts!!! They're set and stage presence was incredible, if you hav'nt heard any of they're music, go get some. It's well worth it. And then the chanting started... SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! SLAY-ER! They opened up with South of Heaven and the place erupted! I weasled up to the front and moshed all night long. Mostly the same set as last time I saw them (2 years ago) but with a new song from the new album due out soon. I can't remember the name, but still just as hard as ever. I can't believe just how hard rockn' they still are after all these years, and are back as the original line-up. Totaly awsome show.” 7:53:15 PM 7/16/06 “Darkstar Orchestra at the Bottle and Cork in Dewey Beach Delaware. Any other TTer's going? This is the third time I'll have seen them there A FANTASTIC show to say the least!” 5:39:49 AM 7/17/06 “Hey stumbling, do you Opeth?” 6:44:21 AM 7/17/06 “Warped Tour is this coming Sunday!!!!!” 10:01:27 AM 7/17/06 “Nigal-I hav'nt yet, heard of them, never heard them. You seen them live? Have you ever heard of Forced Entry?” 6:11:12 PM 7/17/06 “Opeth is a Swedish death metal band but their vocals are kind of split between melodey and gravel. The music is second to none IMHO. Here's some vids. I'll check out some forced entry later tonight. Man, that didn't sound right! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHE57U1v1zc&search=opeth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjkLMUZW09k&search=opeth http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4065980219838372086&q=opeth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUCf4QXsMoU&search=opeth” 6:30:07 PM 7/17/06 “LMAO!!! Just don't tell the signifigant other what your doing! You won't find much on Forced Entry, they haven't played for years. They have two albums- Uncertain Future & As Above, So Below. You can find them on e-bay, with a third album- The Shore, attached to Uncertain Future as a re-release.” 9:46:34 PM 7/17/06 “Finally after waiting years and years to see them Black Label Society is coming around in concert! And an added bonus is that Black Stone Cherry is opening for them. Plus Disturbed is coming with Nonpoint and Stone Sour next month to the loudest most rowdy venue around. YEEHAW!!” 9:40:53 AM 10/10/06 “chili peppers this monday. cant get that song "shes only 18" outta my head right now” 10:29:38 PM 10/26/06 “Iggy #&%!$ing Pop & The #&%!$ing Stooges! At the 9:30 Club - 7 #&%!$ing blocks from my #&%!$ing apt! Stands ~3,000 and not a bad view in the whole #&%!$ing place! There is a God.” 11:03:27 AM 3/08/07 “Think you'll get to see his unit?!” 11:05:02 AM 3/08/07 “God I hope not!” 11:23:44 AM 3/08/07 “Iggy Pop, still alive??” 11:26:59 AM 3/08/07 11:32:30 AM 3/08/07 “yikes!” 11:34:41 AM 3/08/07 “Just be ready to sheild yer eyes. He flashes it at every concert.” 12:01:05 PM 3/08/07 “No wonder Dani likes to get up front...” 12:23:06 PM 3/08/07 “Saw him in '78 or '79 with David Bowie playing keyboard.” 7:01:16 PM 3/08/07 “I saw him in '90. It was a great show.” 8:47:13 AM 3/09/07 “April 17 - Denver CO at the Filmore! YES!” 9:05:42 AM 3/09/07 “Did you get tickets? he's only doing a dozen shows in the US. We got our tickets pre-sale ("pre-announced") and by luck. Dani's on the 930 club mailing list but rarely checks it. "Iggy Show" was in the subject heading. He sold out within hours as word got out. It's also the same place the Pogues played last year. No pre-sale and they sold out within minutes. We were online and on the phone trying to get tickets. No such luck.” 11:01:13 AM 3/09/07 “Iggy Pop rules man...Raw Power!!! Back in my college days, the day would start with Search and Destroy, i'd wake up, craw over to the turntable and cue that baby up and then the day began followed by a Calc class..... In fact, i'm listening to Blah Blah Blah right now which is one of my favorite Iggy CD's followed closely by The Idiot.....” 11:58:38 AM 3/09/07 “My wife and I seem to have a preference towards Golden Nuggets...” 12:02:44 PM 3/09/07 “Just saw Vienna Teng. Great music, good accompaniment. Fine stage presence, intelligent songs. Much impressed.” 3:26:02 PM 4/11/07 Jump to Page << prev
