“bpbasecamp is slow and broken down, even if a few good people hang out there. Its broken right now, I went back to see if new numbers were up.

The only reason I mentioned it is that I had a feeling the numbers would be different there than the places I hang out, and they are.”

“Actually When I first came to this site I wasn't looking for a partner. I was just enjoying discussing BPing with folks from all around. As it turned out I've meet some great fun people here.
Before my first TT hike, I was hiking with people from the Tenn Trails Ass. but nobody in that club "clicked" with me. It's nice to hike with people that tend to cuss as much as myself. LOL! The TTA folks were kinda "goodie goodie" that way.

I wasn't so interested in the motivation, just showing that backpackers ARE meeting other backpackers on the internet. And that the people here and at OAN are a little different from the sample at bpbasecamp. From the comments, it meeting others on the internet has been a good experience, too. No ax murderers, or at least the victims haven't spoken up.

Before I posted it here I left it up for a day on OAN and got similar results with a small sample. I'm not sure the motivation is the same there. ;-)”

I don't have any personal experience in finding dates through tt since I am married, but if I were single, I would give it a try.”
