“Hey gang! I am out of my cage and am in AK, with the Mozart Klan. I am leaving here Dec 1 and headed So and east. I will be in the southern states en-route to Orlando, I am flying home for the Xmas thingy. Then returning, spending New years at Mallory Sq, Key west. Then into the everglades for a while. Miami, sneakin over to the Bahamas, for a few. Returning, will then head north. I will be seeing all my Ga,NC,SC,TN, buds. Want to do the outer banks sometime in there. I need to be back home 1st week of march I think. I will be in contact with you all. I have loads to see and do and will have a story to tell! Checkin email along the way! Yo bear!”

Well, my laptop died so I bought a new one while on the road. Moz and i ARE HEADED to the BRT this weekend for a hike(yes, we will be carrying backpacks)Upon my return I will be dropping down into Tx Davy crockett SP and on to corpis christi. Then over to LA and get in some bayou hikin in New orleans! Then into Fla, hope to see pemsit and turtle. On down to St Pete and fly home Dec20-29 return and continue my journey. I will be doing new years at mallory square then into the everglades for a few nights. St pete, then north. Hope to visit/hike with sone of you. Ski, Spam, Rad,creekjumper. U ALL avoidin me! this area of florida is chock full of outdoor recreation and winter is the best...no bugs or humidity. Kayak and canoe trails are a fun way to do a trip.. .float the gear and the beer...
I think Arclite is the expert on where the best backpacking is in this area tho.....”

“Yo Bear! Made it out of the Ozarks. We had a ball, beautitful weather, awesome waterfalls and good company. As for the shower thingy, that was Moz's idea, but I was glad to take one 2 weeks in the cave one begins to smell good! LOL. I will let Mozark fill you all in on the trip, then I will tell you'all the "rest of the story"! I will keep you all posted as to when I will be commin into the areas. I am headed to TX,MISS,AL and Fla. then home for Xmiss. so it will in 2001 And I will se all of ya in 1 way or another! I need to unpack my gear to clean it and pack it up tommorrow to get on wit it! “Yo Bears, I am visitin pemsit and he and turtle have plans for the we. Will be fun I am sure.
I have been migrating.Saw a lot of pretty places and stayed in some nice State parks. Meet loads of people. I went into Sam Huston NF and the hunters have the park control. You MUST camp in 3 designated areas on the trails and they are overrun with hunters and there DOGS! Big guns and wiskey/beer containers. Shhotin at them,in one occasion. Anyway, I proceeded to Galv,TX camped on the beach. Watched the sunset as well as the sunrise, awesome. I crawled over and above New Orleans via Baton Rouge. Camped,Fountaine Blue SP. Got up the next day and hiked the nature trail. Lookin for these gators they say are here. Did not see any yet. Headed for the Famous French Quater in New Orleans. Was impressed and it looked just like I thought it would. Spent 4 hours there and proceeded to Gulf shores national seashore, camped in their lovly state park. Called the Pemsit and am there now. Monday I will visit friends over at Ft walton Beach area for a few days then head over to the gulf coast to do some more sightseeing! I have not been to Panama city yet! I will be camping/hotelin it into Orlando for a Dec20 Departure. I may go over to Treasure Island and See some old High school friends. Returnin to FL on the 29th. Keywest for nNew Years, Then a BP trip into the glades! Out and mosy olong the east coast to St pete for a few day in a condo on the beach the I will be open to visit and BP will be headed north to arrive in Dayton,end of march.

let me recommend camping at the state park on St. Georges Island in the panhandle...it is gorgeous...

if Gainesville is within your roaming area....I found a nice little canoe run on a little traveled portion of the santa fe river that has a spot for overnight camping last weekend/ that makes a great weekend trip. the hiking would be on a 100 acre tract of land that is for sale with 1400 feet of riverfront....gorgeous...magical forest. teeming with wildlife, .i will try to post a couple of shots on photopoint page from the trip soon.. I think all the ECTers should all go in together to buy it and make it a tt wilderness preserve....??????? I will volunteer to be resident caretaker....:) oh oh....getting off the subject..

I am going to Ftwalton to stay with an old friend and then into the panhandle.Flying home then returning 29th and want to spend New years in Key west! then Who knows! Gojo Well I have lots of options in the glades. There are nice camp areas, canoepaths, or BPing trails with designated platforms to pitch on. Iwas down there a couple of years ago and checked out the area, did not sleep in the park cause I had an early flight and had a room in Miami. The german fellow I was with bagged the park and I have never heard or saw him scince. HMMM He is a ranger in the Black forest in Germany. I will do overnighters in the area depends how comfortable I get with the gators, however I am more concerned with the snakes! Brr, I dont like em! U interested in going into the glades say Jan3,01?”
