If ya want an ass kicking Shawnee State Forest is good. Nearly 100 miles of all day up and downs.

Zeleski State Forest is cool but it can get crowded.

Wildcat Hollow is nice as it is in the Wayne national forest and you can camp anywhere. It's a nice easy 13 mile loop.”

Well it all depends on what kind of hike ya wanna do. There are less people there, there's plenty of miles to do but the trail crazy on the ups and downs. Straight up one side of a 600' hill and right down the other side. All day long. Not too many views either but it's one of the wildest places. The campsites are spaced pretty well apart and they have water at each camp.

I woke up the morning of May 24th and read a post by you that got my heart racing and made me feel sick. I've never been hurt by the comments of another on trailtalk. It wasn't even so much what was said (not much that wasn't said before), but the fact that it came from you. You called me an ass, and said I had the mentality of a two year old. There were several things said that didn't make sense to me at all.

For example, you were responding to XL who had mentioned that he had chatted with me via messenger. You said that you had chatted with me too. That's not true. I don't even know your IM address. My concern was that possibly somebody impersonated me and fooled you into thinking you were chatting with me. If so, be warned that it was not me, so please don't hold their words against me.

Also, you said everything "HAD to be about him (me)". Nigal, I've ever only wanted all the talk about me to stop. Everytime I RESPONDED to somebody's talk about me, it was an attempt to get it to stop. When I ignored the talk, it continued anyways - So I tried to call it out and ask it to stop. How that wasn't obvious I don't know. Maybe I do have the mentality of a two year old, because I don't see how asking people to stop making things about me could be interpreted as me making it about myself. My only guess is that people like to only believe what I say when it's convenient for them. Do you know why I asked Matt to ban all my IPs?? It was so that people KNEW that I wasn't posting and would stop talking about me! Ironically, even though people knew that, the talk about me not only continued, but picked up. I've come to accept it, but believe me, it's not my intention to for "everything to me about me". Quite the opposite.

You also said that I emailed you and complained about being abused. Nigal, the only time I emailed you about that was AFTER you emailed me about that very thing! You emailed me about mapleleaf on June 28th, 2006, that she was back online and asked if I was, so I responded to that saying "no", and told you why that pissed me off. I had no intention of emailing you about it until you emailed me and asked about it. If it bothered you so much, why did you email me a month later about something else in such friendly terms? How did you suddenly get so much hatred for me between now and then?

Only one thing happened since that time and now, and that was another email I sent you. You said on your post referenced here:"Even when he isn't here he'd e mail me and complain how he was being abused here and try to post by proxy through me.", that I had emailed you asking you to post "by provy" for me, and put it in the sentence as if to make it sound the thing I wanted you to post by proxy for me was about me being abused! The thing I asked you to post wasn't for me at all. It was a request by StoveStomper to post something to the board - it wasn't a post for me at all. StoveStomper asked me via telephone to have some "thank you's" posted on the site, but since my IP was banned I asked you to post it. Why did you make it sound as if I was trying to get you to "defend" me on trailtalk? That was uncalled for - and honestly, I still cannot believe that YOU of all people would make something like that up and post it online.

The purpose of my email to you after reading your post that morning was to ask you to call me (I sent you my cell phone #) and discuss this with me. I'll reiterate my plea to you here-

I can't believe I'm doing this, but just because you lost faith in me, I haven't lost faith in you. I realize ultimately it doesn't matter, but if you care to talk to me about what you just wrote and would like to hear things straight from the horse's mouth, you can call me anytime after 7:20am today. *phone # removed*. Perhaps if you have a "real" conversation with me you'll understand what happened to the Sarge online persona. Please don't give my number out.

I'm not giving this number because I want to have a conversation "about me" - but only because I feel sick to my stomach that you feel that way about me and I'd like a chance to befriend you. Perhaps we'll never meet, and like was said, ultimately what people think doesn't affect who I am, but the reality is I do like and respect you and would like to set things straight.

There has been a lot of hearsay posted on the boards, and I'm sure said from time to time on hiking trips, and from my experience the vast majority is out of context or flat out lies. I've never claimed to be perfect, and have admitted repeatedly to making mistakes. Nevertheless, people who create the hype have often admitted to it, and others have "warned" me that people are saying things on purpose to get me stirred up, so it's a known fact most of it is just BS, and I really hope you haven't given into the hype as others have. Even if you have, at least have the courtesy of getting my side of the story before posting hateful things about me online - please. If after talking to me you still feel the same way - fine, have at it.
