Where is the best backpacking in Michiga n?

“North and south manitou island are both really good, also if you want a hike that is unique check out noordhouse dunes. Manistee River Trail is by far one of my favorite places to go.”

“If you don't mind doubling back, there are parts of the NCT that are really cool. Areas that include Udell Hills (north or south of it) are nice.”

“hoist lakes is pretty mediocre, i think. nordhouse is one of my favorites, but the guys want to do miles, not hang about the beach”
