Does anyone know where there are some small caves out of the way to check out. I'm not looking for huge deep caves to go far into. Just something to check out, maybe have to bushwack to.

Cavers tend to be very secretive about "their" caves. I would suggest going to a grotto meeting and showing them you are not a a$$hole that will vandalize "their" caves.

Where are the ones on beech mountain?

I just like finding small ones when I'm hiking. I was going to do a trip and wanted to do one different than just hiking a trail. Maybe bushwack around off the beaten path and spot some caves or bigfoot.

The south west face.some real nice large rock outcroppings with small caves.Runs around the 4000 to 5000 ft elev.spend a good day with a mix of hunting trails and bushwacking.Pretty easy to get around with awsome views of hump and roan mtns .
Plenty of room to camp..mostly private land owned by family..if you want directions email oldbeechmtn@gmail
