A Lonely Planet email today linked to an article on these 10 treks (interestingly the article is 13 months old). Any opinions on the list? A few are on my wish list.

Good Strategy, but it is important, especially if (like me) you are using a hammock, it is really important to remember where you put your pack and boots.

It doesn't include the Camino De Santiago....

so the list is flawed.

Camino De Santiago looks good.

I believe el camino (spanish) means path, trail or road.

OMG the GR20 is #1, whodathunkit? We did 5 days in Corsica and crossed this trail several times, each time checking it out. I gotta map of the GR20 somewhere in our travel stuff, but it ain't as easy at it looks from that article's description. Much of Corsica is quite dry, and lots of central Corsica is particularly dry, so a summer jaunt ain't suggested. But some of the route you can buy local made cheeses and meats from farmers, just don't ever EVER call them French!

For sure I'll one day get back to hike this one! The chestnut raised pigs are deeeelish.

Thanks to Eurohike I learned that El camino reaches well into Switzerland too.

JMT
I have only done one on the list (the narrows) but to me the JMT is tough to beat unless you go PCT (too far/too much time required).

So my list would have to include a modified JMT (include Clouds Rest and Half Dome).
