who all uses Quinoa while on the trail. What are some of your recipes that you use with it.
I know it takes 15 or so minutes to cook so do you dehydrate it first or just cook it?

ive used it once or twice and just cooked it in the field.

i like cous cous better as it cooks quicker, or use 'minute rice'. both cook quite easily in a freezer bag with hot water.

Roam, I have used cous cous and rice before but want to mix it up. It can get old using the same stuff over and over no matter what you mix with it

I just keep adding different stuff to cous cous. It is so versatile, I can make breakfast, lunch or dinner out of it.

I've never used quinoa due to the cooking time. Besides couscous I use angel hair pasta. It only takes a minute or two in boiling water. Throw in some pesto and top with parmesan. Yummy and high carbs.
