Backpacking Aug. 19-21?

“Thinking of doing a local trip the weekend of August 19-21. I was looking at something local...perhaps the McAfee's Knob to Tinker Cliffs section... Anyone interested?”

“Also like the sound of WV...anyone know the Spruce Knob area?”

“Why don't you drive a little further and come to the RRG...Joe and I will join that one!”

“Um where exactly is RRG? It's Kentucky right? You guys have a trip planned already or you'd just be interested in goin back there?”

“It's Kentucky. We only live 35 miles from there. No trip planned, just planning on going and backpacking!”

“Different dates, but I will be slackpacking Shenandoah National Park Central Section this weekend...

Looking at doing Old Rag (from the Parkway), Rapidan Hoover Camp, with an elongated route to include the Sag and Cat Knob and then a somewhat obscure trek utilizing Powell Mountain/Meadows School/AT Trails...

Will be at Rock Spring Hut Friday night, and probably Birds Nest #3 hut oin Saturday...

Side trips will include the Tap Room at Big Meadows...
