I've met and hiked with Trubrit and never encountered any hostility. He was very nice and personable and interesting to talk to. He just gave me the feeling he was trying to sell me something.”

“trubrit's a good example of what happens a lot on here...a newbie comes on and a regular hits him with some hostility that's just subtle enough to fly under the mods radar (and so they can pull the "oh, that's not what i meant at all") but blunt enough so that the newbie understands what they truly meant...then the newbie responds with a not-so-subtle response and it's the newbie that gets the axe�true, he should have played by the rules, but his undoing isn't totally his fault”

i'm not saying he didn't�I agree his response was over the top and he should have headed the mods warning (provided he even cared about being banned)...there's a difference between an excuse and a reason...i'm not excusing his response but there was a reason for it...he didn't just go after any random poster for no reason”

I didn't see anything subtle about the attacks on TB. The thread,and all the trolls posting on it, was blatant and inflammatory. Maybe we should add a new rule to the boards, "If you are being bullied you will shut up and take it, or risk being banned."”

From what little I read onecamper's referenced thread just seems to be a baiting game and pretty juvenile IMO.”

What trolls? Everyone posting on the Blame Britannia thread was using their own name. "Inflammatory" of course, it was in fuego. What do you think fuego means?”

You also must have missed where I said I have hiked with TB, and would also like to see him back. TB never had to participate in that thread. A fair reading of that thread will reveal TB was the only one making threats, so if any bullying was happening it was from him.”

When I did meet him right after that thread, I hiked in to the camping area where I found him already set up. It was just me and him there no one else. I introduced myself we shook hands and I'd hike with him again. He is very nice and extremely generous...but hey, why shouldn't he be?

Fuego is inflammatory by nature, if you can't take the heat without getting all upset, well just don't go there..not directed at you sticks, just generally.

Characterizing what happened to Trubrit in that thread as bullying or an "attack" is just not true.

I said things I new would upset him, that's true, but the things I said were also true and I stand by every word I wrote in that thread. My only thread BTW.”
