Red River Gorge area needs help

“I know there aren't a lot of climbers on this forum, but there are a lot of Red River Gorge people here.

“Doesn't surprise me with some the types I see at the Shell all the time...Sign sez Shirts must be worn...I see climber jerk with it thrown over his shoulder acting like he is the coolest thing since Cool Whip...He would be out and down at the other gas station if I worked there...F him and his like.

I totally know that not all are like that but it is just an example of the bad apple in the barrel.”

“theres a couple of those in every crowd. There's a guy or three like that at Trail Days every year.... pick a group, you can find one of those jerks.

Most backpackers i know, and most climbers i know are SOLID folks.

It's a fact that if people like me and you don't ASK the rest of our friends to pitch in and help, then noone will help.

It's like that with trash pickup days, trail building/maintenance days, the list goes on.

If you care about an area you like to go play in - step up and help out.”
