Turns out Explorer (if we're talking the same thing, I was getting issues of "outside explorer" so we may be) is a "club" and "membership" is $60/year. Gives you the magazine, and coupns/discounts etc. I don't remember agreeing to the whole thing, and it took me 3 months to get the charge backed off of my card.

Just keep your eyes open for the ole "first issues are free, and if you don't stop them in time we start charging you w/out any warning" thing.”
