Packing a substantial water carrier to replenish your bottles can be a bind and take up valuable space and weight. I am a wine buff. recently a guy brought a box of wine to my home, we emptied it and he pulled out the bladder . Eureka!
I washed out the bladder pulling out the tap and by holding a coffee filter over the opening, submersing it into a creek, pond, water body etc, I collected 5 liters of debris filtered water ready for purification. A great reservoir of water at the camp site. The bladder folds away to less than 2 square inches and weighs less than 3 ounces! to top it off it was free and fun acquiring it ! Happy Hiking

Box wine bladders have been used by ultraliters for many years.

I have one like that, only it's urethane coated. Works great.

boxed coffee is fresh brewed coffee that's just put in a box, no different than a cup

boxed wine, is a different story

No spouts on the bags..you filter water out of them.....although I have never had a problem just grabbing the bottom and pouring water over the rim.....(I put out my campfires that way).

thrifty, as ST said, you can pinch the bottom and lift and it will form a crude spout out of the top rim.

Well, it should be cork, of course. A screw off cap is just so permissible.

What does MD 20/20 stand for?
