“thinking about going for a long day-ride before or after trail days. whats better, the eastern half, or the western half?”
“I'm bringing a couple bikes for Pug and I. We're going to ride part of it, I hear it's all downhill if you start at the right place, 40 miles.”
“Are you bringing your camper Dub?”
“what does dub bringing his camper have to do with the VCT?”
“LOL@CB. No Stomper, too much in gas to drive it 8 hours for a weekend.”
“besides, backpacker magazine might be there, and they'll probably remember all the times he made fun of them. wouldnt he have egg on his face if he showed up in his 50-foot monstrosity?”
“i like the eastern half myself”
“thats what i was thinking. i get the impression its more woodsy”
“Dub - Maybe you could raise gas money by renting sleeping space in your bus!”
“could we please stop talking about dub's big stupid motorhome? thank you”
“Both sides are nice, the eastern one is my preference”
“Agreed, it's all beautiful! You can get a shuttle from Damacus and ride 18 miles downhill...but that's no fun!”
“No fun? That ride was kick ***.”
“You can get a ride to the eastern uphill end of the VCT from www.blueblazebikeandshuttle.com and coast back 17 miles to Damascus. There is a store/diner about half way at Taylor, VA. Good trip. Very easy.”
