thinking about going for a long day-ride before or after trail days. whats better, the eastern half, or the western half?

Agreed, it's all beautiful! You can get a shuttle from Damacus and ride 18 miles downhill...but that's no fun!

You can get a ride to the eastern uphill end of the VCT from www.blueblazebikeandshuttle.com and coast back 17 miles to Damascus. There is a store/diner about half way at Taylor, VA. Good trip. Very easy.
