Hmmm. I already answered that. I don't feel the need to pounce on anyone who seems to want to offer their opinion. As I just stated, I even explained WHY I brought this up in relation to NA. What is confusing about that?

I didn't say anyone asked whether or not he should quit. I said the question came up, and opinions were offered.

Again, you mischaracterized what I have said. In context, I did not indicate that nobody should give Hyway advice. What I said was, again, that micro-managing his hike from beginning to end by one person is F'd up.”

Indicating that "the question came up" is not the same as saying "somebody asked a question".

"Question" in this case, indicates a dilemma. Nobody has to posit (thanks snicker) the question for it to be a question.

“I only have one problem with Naked Ape's comments on this thread. I have no problem with HPD's. The difference between Naked Ape and HPD is that Naked Ape has thruhiked the trail, knows me, has gone out of his way to help me, has shared his family with me, is an all around great guy, has my respect and knows that I value his opinion. My one problem with Naked Ape's comments is when he feeds HPD the reply posts that HPD is looking for. The reason I have no problem with HPD's posts is that I don't care what his opinion is and because I know that they aren't really his opinions anyway. They are said solely to stir up others into argueing with him. I don't know why he has that need. If I were home I could ask my wife since its her profession to understand that kind of activity.

All of these "pony" posts are unprovoked attacks which reference a previous discussion. They are all attacks on my parents.”

Hey dear hyway, something I just thawt of, seeing your mileage ovair on TJ. Yaknow, you're just a handful of days short of a wicked awesome 1k'er hike!!! I had a rut or 2 as well, mebbe this is some kinda rut, mebbe it's like a real heavy door that's real hard to push open. Perhaps it's a good idea to putting some serious TEMPORARY effort to get that door open, just to get thru and stand on other side a few minutes. If this is only a rut, there just might be a whole new you standing on the other side of that heavy door. If it ain't a rut, who on this whole planet other than a dipschyt wouldn't be HUGELY proud of a 1k'er hike!!!!
