Ewing Point Walk-in Campsite

Ewing Point is located on the 132-acre McKeever Lake near Munising. There is one walk-in campsite on Ewing Point. The site, located right on the point, is a grassy area 50 feet by 75 feet, surrounded by cedar and hemlock. A fire grill, lantern post, and picnic tables are provided at the site. Drinking water must be carried in. Water is available at Pete's Lake. Sanitary facilities are not available and the "cat" method is recommended for human waste disposal. This site may be reserved for up to 7 days. You may obtain a permit by visiting the office of the District Ranger at Munising, or writing to the District Ranger, 400 East Munising Ave., Munising, Michigan 49862. There is a fee. Posting fer Trout
Hey Randall,

I don't care if we camp or not, but it needs to have a shower and toilet. No reason to start a hike already nasty. I'm ok with sharing a cheap motel room or going single.

ok, so anyway

i made reservations in the primitive camping area of munising tourist campground

theyre 2 or 3 miles west of munising on hyway 28

i got 2 sites for $19 each total $38. thats a little more than $6 per person. whoever gets there first, go to the office. if the office is still open (they close around 9), pay $38 and someone will show you to the sites. if the office is closed, there will be a map on the office door with my name (Scott Fecher) on it. use that map to find the campsites, and we can pay in the morning
