“trout run. PA rt 14. take that north towards canton into village of Marsh Hill, there, turn right onto Pleasant Stream road for 9 miles and it will take you right to Masten.”

“Are there any hikes planned for Saturday?”

“I'd like to be there on Saturday. I have doctor appointments on Thursday and Friday so hopefully nothing goes wrong to stop me from going to Masten.”

Pick me up and bring me home and I'll get you right to the campsite. I'm 5 minutes off RT 15. You can see my house if you know what to look for. ramblnrev1 (at) verizon (dot) net

BTW stay on RT 81 until you get to rt 22 North/322 West(toward State College) It is all super highway and you miss some very very narrow winding roads. Takes you around past Harrisburg as well. You get dropped off right onto Rt 15. It's easy to navigate and easier/faster to drive.

“I agree with what rev said. 15 south of Duncannon is a 2 lane traff snarl. Cross over the Susquehanna River and take 322/22 north/west and you'll save 20 minutes or so. The drive from Harrisburg north is a gorgeous drive. Actually, it will be a lovely drive pretty much the entire way.”
