The dates are slightly changed due to Paul wanting to fly on the weekends. We will try to be off the mountain by Labor Day weekend, but may not be able to avoid the crowd in Horseshoe Meadow the week prior.”

“my schedule is pretty flexible, so no problem there, as long as i can get enough work in between trips to get all the bills paid, i'll be golden. As soon as the dates are set, let me know and i will check flights, my checkbook, etc., and i will be able to update my maybe status.”

“Cool. The Mt. Whitney part of this trip got shot down by the permit office yesterday. Already too many people at Trail Crest for that time. But Paul & I are thinking we still want to do this trip at this time. We still want to see Cottonwood Lakes, Army Pass, Mitre Basin & Crabtree Lakes. We can climb Mt. Langley, a 14er. Paul will prolly buy plant tickets to Bakersfield this week. I'll let you know.”

“Hey Athena. We are putting in and getting out at the same spot - Cottonwood Lakes trailhead in the Horseshoe Meadows area south of Whitney Portal near Lone Pine.
