I am almost sure I have it. It is just a matter of finding it and hoping it did not get ruined in the last flood.

ENS I am planing at this point to leave Friday AM around 9 or 10. this would put me in the 'skills around 1pm. I offered to carpool with sir pete but haven't heard from him but that could change mt ETA. What time are you going to get there?
Getting another peak on sunday would be cool, Peekamoose is one I need. I also need Rusk, I've hiked past the dang thing dozens of times just never gone up. I don't have any time I need to be back on Sunday, I could even stay till Monday.

I need to get back at a reasonable hour on Sunday, so something we can hike in the morning would be good. Peakamoose or Rusk are pretty quick peakbags and maybe the best bets. There are some nice views near the summit.

Not sure what time yet on Friday. There earlier the better. It would be nice to get into camp Friday and chill out. It depends on whether I find a job by then or if Liam comes or when I turn Liam loose. Sometime Friday afternoon is my goal. If I can get up there by early afternoon Friday, maybe we can knockout another peak you need.

Doubletop
I just re-examined the map and Jay's post from VFTT... we hike up from Seager and turn at Flat Iron Brook, which is the second stream crossing on the map and looks to be a mile in from the TH. From there, we hike due south to the summit, basically climbing the ridge.

Doubletop is said to have one of the best views on the Catskills, it would be awesome to see that view if it is clear.

I don't remember much of a view? I seem to remember it being tree covered. Maybe there is a ledge or something.

It's apparently just south of the summit.

from the 3500 site

Description: Doubletop is the highest of the trailless peaks and also provides the finest view. The summit is in a mature, but not too thick spruce and balsam forest. As with all the trailless peaks, there is a canister marking the highest point. Please sign the register at the summit. A short distance to the southeast there is a spectacular view to the south and west. From this point there is very little evidence of civilization. There is also a good view on the eastern or lower of the summits. Access is via bushwhack. Most routes follow the ridge from Seager or from Frost Valley to the east. Be sure to get permission from Frost Valley YMCA if you choose to climb that way as access is severely restricted.

We should skip the southern lesser peak, but it would be cool to find the view near the summit if it is clear.

For Liam and lyra to come, it depends on a number of factors, mainly weather.
