Took a hike around Worlds End Sate Park this weekend by stringing together a variety of trails. The weather was cold, but warmed up with bright sunshine. We hiked along beautiful Double Run with frozen waterfalls and cascades. The trail was slick and I wish I had crampons. The various icicle formations were neat, including one that actually swung above the creek- I took a short video of it.

Cottonwood Falls was beautiful with columns of blue ice in its grotto.

Next was a climb up to Canyon Vista with a great view. I hiked out along the Canyon Vista Trail, a first for me, and it wove between big ledges and rock outcrops before a steep descent. There were ice flows. We hooked up with the LT for a steep, rocky descent and returned to the park.

Great hike.

Nice pictures Jmitch. Not much snow left out there, but cool ice formations near the stream.
