Some obscure members of this board may remember my Slammin' Blackberry Backpackin' Jam... that is, if you participated in the last Llama Rama way back when... everybody got a jar.

These days, I get calls for it, can no longer keep up with demand... hmmm... maybe if I slap "Napa Valley" on it, I can get $30 a jar, eh?

Sounds deadly.

I was on a kick for a few years where I'd pick wild blackberries (actually from what must have been an old homestead) and boil them down to make a nice tart syrup ---- then accidentally spill a bunch of VSOP cognac into it to complete the transformation into a 40° cordial.

oh yeah.

Otter Creek Trail head is about 1.5 miles from the campground.

Route 33 crosses the Dry Fork River at Alpena just east of the FR 91 turn-off by a mile or two.

I don't do any fishing but I know that people do fish in Randolph and Tucker Counties in those cricks and rivers.
