“What about the time we had rain on friday with a Rainbow in the early evening with temps at 60 and a kite flying over head. SAT approx 4am .....a white out drops in and temps drop to the teens and we packed up in 7 minutes. hehehe

Did you guys need snow shoes last yr? We don't have snoe shoes and what degree bag did you use? I've got a 20 and a 15....”

“No Snow last year BK. I had a 0* bag, but temps were in the mid to upper teens. The thing with the Mt. Rogers area is you never know what you are going to get.”

“I know....I've been there enough to realize that. But I don't have anything warmer than the 15 degree bag. If I can keep Tater outa his hammock...I could use his body heat by squeezing him into my tent! :) Poor Tater, he is being reduced to ....a teddy bear. MUHAHAHAHA>”

“If there is enough snow to warrant snow shoes, I probably wont make the trip. I just don't have that kind of gear.”

I don't have that kinda gear either. I am aware that it has snowed around that area like 5 times already this year, but I don't imagine there is much accumulation at the moment due to the freaky weather trends and all the rain.

We'll just have to send Uncle Fridgy on a souting expedition before the Feb. trip so we know what we're lookin at ;)”

I have 2 extra sets of snoeshoes and 2 extra set of ice crampons for anyone who may need to use them!”
