Maybe?

“I'm a maybe for this hike, being that I have a cabin reserved at Wilderness S.P. the first weekend in February. I don't think I can swing both trips being they'd be so close together, but this trip has my interest more so than my Wilderness cabin trip, one reason being yours will be in the U.P, which will probably be a bit more of a Wilderness experience, and the other being the good people that are hosting and signed on for this trip, including the current maybe's.
No or little Snow would probably be a deal breaker for me, but what are the odds that this would occur in the UP, in mid-January?

The Triangle loop looks interesting, with possibly bivouacking, at the shelter on Indian River? (Parking and starting at CR-440 T.H.?)

“thanks. I've done lots of online research including the sites you linked. In addition, I have a large, waterproof Nat'l Forest issued topo map that shows the trails.

I'll be selecting the route based on some information that I'm awaiting from the forest service.”
