"I don't want to prejudge anything, but it is certainly one that I am having difficulties with," said Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J. On Tuesday, Rep. Charles Rangel, chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, said he, too, had reservations about the proposal. "I would never want to adversely affect anything that is charitable or good," the New York Democrat said. Republicans have been even more critical of the proposal, saying it would reduce charitable donations at a time when many charities are struggling” 6:42:35 AM 3/05/09 “They, as the last bunch, are realizing they don't run this country. The people that recieved all of that tarp money run everything and have never run for any office-THEY JUST BUY THE ELECTION with taxpayers money.” 7:11:20 AM 3/05/09 “OH God..this is CLASSIC....Remember the "enviro summit" where it was revealed the table was actually some hardwood from Brazilian Rainforest..... WELLL here you go....Malia and Sasha get a NEW SWINGSET!!!! WHOO HOO....Now there are some really nice safe swingsets out there made out of recycled materials, steel etc...but NOOOOO http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/03/04/obamas-surprises-daughters-new-swing-set/100days/ The 100 percent cedar and North American Redwood structure has four swings, including a tire swing, a slide, a fort, a climbing wall and climbing ropes. There's also a picnic table with brass plates etched with the names of all 44 presidents, she said. So to all you tree huggers.... ”7:58:32 AM 3/05/09 “Let me get this right, you're criticizing Obama over a swing set? Is that what I'm hearing?” 8:01:27 AM 3/05/09 “A REDWOOD Swing set.....you know him being MR ENVIRONMENTAL and all. Kinda like we would react if ALGROAN had a HUGE HOUSE< Flew on HUGE Aircraft and owned GIANT ...oh wait he does.....sorry Nigal you are right hypocrisy in the left is expected.” 8:07:04 AM 3/05/09 “Hmmm, that's what it looks like. Hey Kookie, lend me your comb.” 8:07:24 AM 3/05/09 “Nigal you are right hypocrisy in the left is expected. I never said that. All I'm saying is if you're going to go after the guy pick your battles a little more carefully. It seems quite silly to go after his kid's swing set when he's pushing the largest spending bill in the history of the world that could lead us to an absolute collapse. No one cares about his swing set. If that's all we have to go on then we are in high cotton.” 8:10:00 AM 3/05/09 “Ouch! Republicans this week are processing two sobering new polls that found the party’s support reduced to a slim one-quarter of Americans. In the absence of a popular elected leader, its most visible figure is a polarizing radio host. Its strategic powerhouse is a still-divisive former House speaker forced from power 15 years ago. http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20090305/pl_politico/19636” 8:14:39 AM 3/05/09 “the party’s support reduced to a slim one-quarter of Americans I'm surprised it's that high, lol.” 8:18:07 AM 3/05/09 “Yes but.....when you have a highly developed intellect like XLs, swingsets are an important part of daily life.” 9:09:28 AM 3/05/09 “Redwood is sustainably harvested for commercial product. Every dogear fence plank on the west coast is made from redwood. What you should be outraged about is that the swing set has no ZIP LINE!” 9:56:45 AM 3/05/09 “Quit makin' with the negative waves, Moriarty.” 10:00:13 AM 3/05/09 “It's almost time to get ON THE ROAD! Whooo hooo!!!” 10:01:55 AM 3/05/09 “Yes and certain Envrio Wackos have houses built out of them...but given the "save the envrionment crap I would have thought he would have been a bit smarter...but then he is an amature.” 10:14:53 AM 3/05/09 ““Redwood is sustainably harvested for commercial product. Exactly. This is a "renewable resource"” 10:18:43 AM 3/05/09 “Yeah. Saving the environment is crap... Fortunately for the rest of society, there are people who beg to differ.” 10:19:12 AM 3/05/09 Bigger Fish To Fry 10:37:44 AM 3/05/09 “Whoa....renewable resource? SO um....you have not problem with harvesting trees?” 10:59:21 AM 3/05/09 “We need wood. I'm ok with tree farms. It's the primary and secondary growth habitats that need to be left alone.” 11:02:35 AM 3/05/09 “ ”1:49:30 PM 3/05/09 “How much do you want to bet That's the kind of #&%!$ he's peddling to the next generation.” 2:14:10 PM 3/05/09 “LOL..isn't this great..The Messiah cannot go anywhere without the words being given to him.... http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0309/19663.html” 11:53:55 AM 3/06/09 “Great blog http://www.rantrave.com/Rant/Obamas-Response-to-Critics.aspx I do not understand why the President of the United States continues to respond to attacks from entertainers. He should be above these kinds of attacks, if he truly believes he’s doing what’s best for the country. Did George Bush ever engage in petty arguments with Keith Olberman- or Al Franken-types? No, because he felt he was doing what was best for the country and wasn’t going to respond as if he were a kid being bullied on the playground. This week, the White House Press Sect. made comments attacking Mad Money’s Jim Cramer (a liberal) for saying Obama’s budget is the “greatest wealth destruction I’ve seen by a president” and has continued the much-talked about Rush Limbaugh feud (which started with a quote taken out of context). About a year ago, Dick Cheney was told in an interview that the majority of Americans were against the war in Iraq. He simply responded, “So?” It irked a bunch of liberals when he said it, but he’s right. If they believed what they were doing was right for the country, then they shouldn’t care what the uninformed general population thinks. I believe it is the attitude that the Obama Administration should take. If someone says something mean about you, or criticizes your decisions, let it go. There are plenty of people in the media to come to your defense. You are wasting your time. For every second you spend discussing how to respond to Limbaugh or Kramer, or whoever is next, you take away from the amount of time you could be discussing important issues that will actually have an effect on the nation. Apparently Jim Cramer (Mad Money) has learned the danger of crossing the line. He was a huge supporter of the Bamster...but made a couple of "counterrevolutionary" statements and NOW he is.....under major ad hominem attackes from the left which he finds Disturbing..(LOL) Truth of the matter Jim, thats how Socialist have always behaved. You either toe the line or you need reeducation (LOL). last edited: 3/09/09 11:15:26 AM” 11:24:05 AM 3/09/09 “Lets see China is harassing our naval vessels in international waters, North Korea is ramping up for something if their sattelite goes boom (you know they will claim we shot it down), Iran should be putting nukes up shortly. Today El Presidente can just about do anything and the media has a pants wetting day.” 1:46:33 PM 3/09/09 “I was referencing you specifically, XL...” 1:48:23 PM 3/09/09 “And um I was referring to you there damppants...(LOL) Rosey and marky doing their Polar Bear Routine... ![]() last edited: 3/09/09 1:45:25 PM” 1:55:59 PM 3/09/09 “Wow, a two member herd of white daughter buffellows?” 2:04:35 PM 3/09/09 “The one trying to dive into the ice must be markO. Chances are, they send it over to Isreal. What is your answer? Nuke Iran, Iraq, N. Korea and China?” 2:17:14 PM 3/10/09 “Michelle Obama’s position at the University of Chicago Hospital has been eliminated. Ms. Obama was making $121,910 in 2004 before Obama got her employer a million dollar earmark. After Obama was elected senator, Ms. Obama's pay jumped to $316,962. Now they don't even need a replacement?!? Pure and simple graft.” 3:44:52 PM 3/10/09 “The University of Chicago Medical Center will cut costs by $100 million, or almost 7 percent of its budget by 2010, and may reduce its staff significantly, the Center announced last week. It attributes the restructuring to falling investment and endowment values. It also reaffirmed its commitment to the $700-million hospital pavilion planned for 2012. Under the plan, which took effect last Monday, the Medical Center will enact several cost-saving measures in an effort to bring down its budget, including the elimination of four vice presidents and 11 other senior executive positions. Though they could not disclose the specific positions, Medical Center representatives said the executives’ responsibilities will be taken over by other administrators. [...] The announcement is the latest in a series of moves by the Medical Center to reorganize since it was combined with the Biological Sciences Division three years ago in an effort to make the two administrations less redundant, Easton said. However, this budget cut—and the executive shake-up—were prompted by the recent fiscal crisis. http://www.chicagomaroon.com/2009/1/13/medical-center-cuts-budget-by-100-million” 5:48:28 PM 3/10/09 “What political connections did the other 14 senior executives have bacpac? She rarely showed up for work. It was a political graft machine.” 3:39:01 AM 3/11/09 “How do you know her attendance record?” 3:50:16 AM 3/11/09 “The OBama Lie...while people die. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=CNG.a39a7b54b886bba645d55c20ff5958c2.f11&show_article=1 The White House on Tuesday dismissed suggestions that two recent bloody attacks in Iraq were a reaction to President Barack Obama's decision to pull out most combat troops by August next year. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said security challenges remained in Iraq, but said US agreements with the Baghdad government would not have been made if they were likely to plunge Iraq back into "danger." ” 5:40:49 AM 3/11/09 “OH Lord....the clock is ticking.... http://www.newsweek.com/id/188565/output/print beginning to mumble that the president may not have what it takes. Howard Fineman Newsweek Web Exclusive Mar 10, 2009 | Updated: 8:37 a.m. ET Mar 10, 2009 Surfer that he is, President Obama should know a riptide when he's in one. The center usually is the safest, most productive place in politics, but perhaps not now, not in a once-in-a-century economic crisis. Swimming in the middle, he's denounced as a socialist by conservatives, criticized as a polite accommodationist by government-is-the-answer liberals, and increasingly, dismissed as being in over his head by technocrats. The $787 billion stimulus, gargantuan as it was, was in fact too small and not aimed clearly enough at only immediate job-creation. The $275 billion home-mortgage-refinancing plan, assembled by Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, is too complex and indirect. The president gave up the moral high ground on spending not so much with the "stim" but with the $400 billion supplemental spending bill, larded as it was with 9,000 earmarks. The administration is throwing good money after bad in at least two cases—the sinkhole that is Citigroup (there are many healthy banks) and General Motors (they deserve what they get). The failure to call for genuine sacrifice on the part of all Americans, despite the rhetorical claim that everyone would have to "give up" something. A willingness to give too much leeway to Congress to handle crucial details, from the stim to the vague promise to "reform" medical care without stating what costs could be cut. A 2010 budget that tries to do far too much, with way too rosy predictions on future revenues and growth of the economy. This led those who fear we are about to go over Niagara Falls to deride Obama as a paddler who'd rather redesign the canoe. A treasury secretary who has been ridiculed on "Saturday Night Live" and compared to Doogie Howser, Barney Fife and Macaulay Culkin in "Home Alone"—and those are the nice ones. A seeming paralysis in the face of the banking crisis: unwilling to nationalize banks, yet unable to figure out how to handle toxic assets in another way—by, say, setting up a "bad bank" catch basin. A seeming reluctance to seek punishing prosecutions of the malefactors of the last 15 years—and even considering a plea bargain for Bernie Madoff, the poster thief who stole from charities and Nobel laureates and all the grandparents of Boca. Yes, prosecutors are in charge, but the president is entitled—some would say required—to demand harsh justice. The president, known for his eloquence and attention to detail, seemingly unwilling or unable to patiently, carefully explain how the world works—or more important, how it failed. Using FDR's fireside chats as a model, Obama needs to explain the banking system in laymen's terms. An ongoing seminar would be great. Obama is no socialist, but critics argue that now is not the time for costly, upfront spending on social engineering in health care, energy or education. ” 1:06:18 PM 3/11/09 “Plus he's got a red wood swing set. This bastards got to go!” 1:12:34 PM 3/11/09 “Critics like Limbaugh?? hee hee hee !!!” 1:44:49 PM 3/11/09 “And yet no "Right wing" entertainer has called for him to be hurt of killed...ala Jeanine Garafolo.” 1:46:34 PM 3/11/09 “ ”1:56:07 PM 3/11/09 “People, even the even tempered and polite Libertarian party has a SMALLpercentage of Kooks.” 3:48:16 PM 3/11/09 “NiceDeb asks: “The question on everyone’s mind is: As Obama tanks the US economy and makes one foreign policy blunder after another; Is he really a completely clueless naif who is “in over his head”, or an evil commie mastermind employing Cloward-Piven Strategy to destroy America as we know it? Answer: Good Question Deb, “Duh!” The answer is: he’s both. Think KAOS from Get Smart. The left lambasted the Bush “nation building” policy, but have no problem whatsoever with the Obama “nation re-building policy.” And this policy is costing much, much more money. It’s obvious that the left only objected to the type of nation Bush wanted to build, not the building, nor it’s cost. Obama is willing to spend trillions on his own personal war on America. In fact, the number might as well be a quadrillion. Whatever number will bankrupt America will suffice. And he will find that number sooner or later. This is part of the Cloward-Piven Strategy, and Obama is most certainly implementing it. But, this doesn’t mean he is a brilliant mastermind. He is, in fact, not too bright, as many of the blunders (unnecessary to his mission) shows. But he is brighter, for the time being, than his constituents. It is the job of the non-socialists, non-malcontents to inform the ignorant masses before it is too late. I wish you luck.” 4:19:06 PM 3/11/09 Jump to Page << prev
