“I have not used them for sleeping. I fired it up in the morning and let it run until we left then fired it up when we got back. I turned it off when hitting the sack. But then my ex would have never even considered this type of cold weather trip, mid 20's was her limit.

If you are using a 3 season tent it would probably be vented enough for sleeping. I have a coworker that did this and he said it ran out of fuel in the middle of the night. A tank only lasts 7-8 hours...and since I have talked to both he and his wife apparently they didn't die.”

“I had planned to fire it up about 1 hour before bed time and just let it run until it ran out and then fireup aagin in the morning.
The tent is 3 season so i figured it would be fine.
I also plan on the hot water bottle trick yall taught me on the last trip. kept me warm to 4F in my 15F bag last year.
