I for one CAN'T hold my booze. Will you hold it for me? Seriously, I woudn't stop others from drinkin' but i might protest someone smokin' and blowing smoke in my face. Other then that, have at it.

Wou would think my mix of irsih and scottish blood would make drinkin' easier on me LOL

WK - the Savage trip was the main one I was talking about. Yes, the knucklehead troll that someone invited to SG was mine. I managed to talk about guns, religion, drinking, dogs on the trail...I think I hit all the hot button issues on that one.

I'm trying to find the thread, but no luck so far.

My favorite part of that thread was this exchange:

When it comes to hiking with others I say you are an adult. If you wanna do something that's your decision. As long as you do it after the hiking's done. I have been on trips where there was smoking going on pretty much from the time people woke up til they went to bed. Main line heroin if ya want. Just don't put my whole trip at risk because you can't wait until the day's walk is done.

In Montana, didn't one TT trip end with a medical evacuation of one backpacker who had a bad experience with cocaine?

That was prowler. I always heard drugs were suspected but never the actual drug taken. Wouldn't suprise me. He screwed up a hike I was on too.

I was pretty good friends with Prowler at the time of that Montana hike. I've known him since we were kids and I've never known him to play with cocaine. His kids were on that trip, weren't they?

I thought the problem there was more of a prescription thing. I'm not saying bad choices weren't made or anything, but I really doubt the cocaine thing.

Hi TT’ers:

My apologies to all who’ve been offended by my trip listings.

Just personal preferences in the bush; not value judgements.

Like prosecutor, I too enjoy a glass of wine now and then.

Sorry for not participating in this forum more often, but I’ve been spending a lot of time in the bush recently, but you guys seem to be doing really well without me anyway. :)

Hope to cross contours with all of you in the future--my best chocolate will be yours.

Off to the bush...

All the Best,

LandNavMan
