“Manistee River Trail is awesome and I think it may be about the closest good trail to you. The Manistee has some of the midwest's greatest trout fishing too.

“Bowman Lake or High Bank Lake in the MNF would be beautiful this time of year. HighBank is a drive-to campground, where as Bowman Lake is a walk-in campground. Short walk though, probably less than 1/4 mile, "I think" not 100% sure though? Can't vouch for how well the fishing is though. Also many trout streams are closed now, except for the few that are open year round. Big Manistee river might only be open below Tippy Dam, which is downstream a bit from the Manistee River Trail.”

“Heya Randall....you might wanna check out Sylvania Wilderness area up in Watersmeet....they have a regular car campground plus a bunch of sites you can either hike or canoe into...the fishing is all catch and release I think but there's no shortage of fish!
