Drink your milk now.” 10:08:07 AM 9/14/08 “The device I have was sent specifically for my Poles! Yogi WHY WHAT??? Fridge I've already had my milk!!!” 11:42:57 AM 9/14/08 Message to Spam “Hi Spam, Thank you for your candor and frankness in your review. The StickPic relies on a friction fit in order for it to be wedged in properly. We suggest that you use a slight twisting motion with the pole to wedge it in tight. The StickPic is made from a durable plastic called Delrin/Acetal so it's practically unbreakable. Use the same twisting motion to remove the StickPic. In some rare and extreme cases where the ends of the poles are badly worn, then the StickPic may not fit properly. We want all our customers to be happy with the StickPic. PERIOD. And and have a no questions asked refund policy. This is what we want to be know for. Determining the price of the StickPic has it's challenges. Priced too high and we are out of the market. Priced too low, we can't pay the bills. The current price was not our original retail price. We have since lowered it incrementally. Your suggested $9.95 price will be sincerely considered at our next strategy session. If it were not for hikers like yourself and hundreds others giving us feedback and suggestions, we would be in the position we are today. Happy trails, Rod aka SierraShade” 2:31:54 PM 9/14/08 “Is it possible to make a fit all sleeve? Of course this model would cost more fitting all sticks! I do however like the one sent to me. Works very well. My reasoning on a fit all is that I have 4 different sticks. Two I use most of all. If I wanted to purchase several for folks, then I would need to know what sticks they have or buy a fit all type.” 2:53:53 PM 9/14/08 “Refrigerator, You and other hikers have suggested the very same universal fitting. Great minds think alike! I will start working on a prototype to check it's feasibility. If you or any other member have any design ideas, I am receptive to hearing them. Sometimes innovators have horse blinders on and think they invented the prefect product. I made that mistake some time ago and now listen and try to learn something from anybody who has ideas like yours. It will be a while before I offer a universal fitting StickPic, so please keep checking our website. Rod” 4:27:08 PM 9/14/08 HEY SPAM “hey spam how was your hike ? i ended up hiking with one my kids from 321 to watauga lake shelter. what messy shelter it was we cleaned it out and took about 10lbs of trash home with us.” 4:40:00 PM 9/14/08 “It was a ball buster to do in one day JB especially since we went up to Grassy ridge in addition to coming back down and continuing on the AT. I got to 19 E before the others and decided to walk to the store which I thought was just down the road and it ended up being over two more miles, so I ended up doing about a 17 mile day and I got I big Ol blister to show for it! Sierra I suggest just a screw on the side that will go thru to the Trekking Pole and can be tightened by hand!” 8:05:40 PM 9/14/08 “Spam, Also, the existing set screw can be adjustable. Use a slightly longer set screw, make the hole in the largest size and include a Allen wrench with each StickPic. It has possibilities! But will it hold? I will mock something up and give it a whirl. Rod” 8:49:28 PM 9/14/08 “Spam: I was asking why do you think it is worth 10 bucks but not 15?” 10:24:11 PM 9/14/08 Spam “'Determining the price of the StickPic has it's challenges. You need to learn to look out for your fellow hikers... LOL '32oz” 4:53:34 AM 9/15/08 “LOL! I just look at what it's worth to me brothers!!!” 6:45:39 AM 9/15/08 “Hi all, I didn't just make this up. It's always been part of how we do business and in our website since it's conception. Read near bottom of the page, you will get what I'm referring to. http://thestickpic.com/Warranty%20exchanges%20returns%20and%20refunds.html Rod” 9:33:42 AM 9/15/08 “sierrashade, That's pretty cool that you got David Cook to demo it on the 500 mile trip! last edited: 9/15/08 10:35:18 AM” 10:34:04 AM 9/15/08 Message for Hiker1984 10:42:31 AM 9/15/08 “Whassup?” 10:45:47 AM 9/15/08 “Hiker1984 I would like to offer you a complementary StickPic because of your thoughtful contribution to this thread. It’s community members like you, sharing your views with other members which make this forum great. Email me your address and tell me what brand, make and model sticks you use. I will mail them out right away. Rod rodneyjava@thestickpic.com” 11:29:18 AM 9/15/08 “this should be good...... '32oz” 11:32:44 AM 9/15/08 “that's gotta be sarcasm right?” 11:44:26 AM 9/15/08 “That's cool sierrashade! Thanks! As a former entrepreneur wanna-be, I'd rather support you by purchasing the product, should I decide I want one. Thanks! Again, congrats on getting David Cook! btw, I have Leki, but I tend not to use them; instead letting fellow hikers use them. I'm nice like that.” 11:51:28 AM 9/15/08 “wow, THAT was civil.. '32oz last edited: 9/15/08 11:53:46 AM” 11:52:32 AM 9/15/08 “hey, he didn't start anything, and I'm not about to start a new trend.” 11:57:31 AM 9/15/08 “sierrashade, I gotta tell you, I'm a bit angry, and here's why. I feel that your perception of this community does a great disservice to it. ALL of the contributors offer something to this community, not just me. If you really felt that way about me, you should offer a camera holder on a stick thingy to ALL of the trailtalk contributors. We all offer value, and without each and every member, this place would fall apart. If I've misunderstood your comment, please forgive me. Thank you.” 1:07:29 PM 9/15/08 “Hiker1984, Thank you for your support. It's apprecitated. Please send me the link to David Cook. I'd be interested in checking it out. Rod” 1:15:27 PM 9/15/08 “so we're all getting a camera stick thingy? wow, this is just like oprah” 1:21:07 PM 9/15/08 “i'm not jumping on the furniture” 1:24:03 PM 9/15/08 “HIker1984, Wow, I think you missunderstood my intentions. I apologise for any missunderstanding. Rod” 1:25:15 PM 9/15/08 “it happens a lot” 1:26:03 PM 9/15/08 “This is him, right? ![]() ”1:53:36 PM 9/15/08 “It's ok sierrashade, I just didn't want you to give me preferential treatment, when we're ALL equally deserving here at trailtalk. Like your spokesman, David Cook, says - "Give Back" last edited: 9/15/08 1:57:19 PM” 1:56:00 PM 9/15/08 “OK, David Cook.....I got it now......You "Pulled my leg" good. For everybody else not getting it. The top picture is Carsten Jost - 2008 Solo PCT thru-hiker at his memorable 500 mile marker. He used the StickPic because there was nobody around to take his picture. The bottom picture is of some guy from a tv game show. Rod” 2:13:45 PM 9/15/08 “sierrashade... I don't think anyone misunderstood your intentions. Some of us simply found them more reasonable than others.” 2:25:58 PM 9/15/08 “If you are still wondering what it's all about or if really works, check out this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnK6r_aaFX8” 5:27:51 AM 9/26/08 “I have used the Stick Pic now on 2 trips and this piece of gear will be part of my essentials with my camera. Works great and your easy to understand instructions make the Stick Pic a keeper. light weight , works exactly like they claim and is easy to use.... makes a great stocking stuffer with Christmas comming.” 3:57:23 PM 9/26/08 “Used my stickpic again this weekend at the Techumu hike.
