Music is something that I have not really changed my taste in since becoming a Christian. There is a definate limit to what I'll listen to in the line of lyrics but for the most part I cannot stomach Christian pop/rock. There are a few bands that're good, not many. It all seems so soft and lite.”

“I just finished a book by Lee Stroebel. He is/was an investigative reporter for the Chicago Tribune and a devout Atheist. He went out to disprove Christianity and ultimately became born again. The book is called the Case for Christ and is very compelling. VERY well researched and documented. He covers just about every point and plays devil's advocate with every person he interviews. A MUST read for anyone interested in the subject.”

Controversial - Jesus was incredibly controversial ! In a time when the Judaism was defined by temple worship in Jerusualum, directed by the scribes and pharaises, and overseen by the Roman government, every single thing he said or did was railing against the status quo.

Quote from John's Gospel - The phrase "... no one comes to the father except through me" has lots of possibilities, IMHO the least of which is a mandate to embrace (only) the Christian faith. Can't I read this as saying "... except through me (and the kind of example I have set in this world concerning unconditional love, forgiveness, hope for the outcast of society, etc.). Taking that approach, I see the statement as inclusive, not exclusive of other faiths.

Christian Churches - Everything human, by necessity, must stray from the perfection of God. No Christian church can be perfectly true to Jesus' message. Thanks for all the insite. I know where I stand on this issue, I was just curious where you all stood.

I believe in Jesus Christ but my belief is more than a head knowledge of Christ. I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ was real; he existed on this earth and he suffered and died a horrible death on the cross so that all might have eternal life (John 3:16).

Unfortunately there are more hypocrites on the face of this earth and especially in America that claim to know Christ and yet they don't show the love of Christ. These turn people away from the truth of the Bible. Please don't allow another person's action's become your excuse for not believing in Christ. As I talk with people, I see more and more that this is the case. Unbelievers pointing the fingers at so called 'Christians' and using their folly as an excuse not to become a Christian. It is quite obvious that Jesus Christ was alive and real. Overwhelming evidence supports this claim. Click here for more. It is up to you whether you would like to accept him as Lord and Saviour or reject him as liar, lunatic or just plain legend.

“As easily as I get sucked into these never-ending debates and as bad as they usually end up I thank you for bring it up. I?m also sorry I called you a troll. One thing I?ve learned here is that I should just simply state my personal belief and leave it at that. Jesus never was one for long drawn out debates so maybe I shouldn?t either. When Jesus sent the disciples out to spread the word he told them if a town accepted them to join them, if they didn?t, shake the dust from your sandals and be on your way. Looking back at the people who planted the seeds of knowledge in me years ago it wasn?t done in a debate.

“there was a controversial book written i think back in the 1930's where the author researched the life of jesus. between the ages of 12 and 30 years of when there is some mystery surrounding jesus's whereabouts this author found evidence of a man with qualities and description very similar to jesus studying in a tibetan monastary during this time of his "absence". there records still exist in this monastary. this author proved that jesus could have easily treked to this part of the world. he then discusses how upon jesus return his teachings and ways are very similar to buddhism, such as tolerance. so theoretically this israelite studying in the tibetan monastary may have been jesus christ. has anyone else heard of or read this book? i do not recall the title or the author but if you know it please respond.”
