RV rental will cost a team of 6 at least 300 bucks each and that does not include GAZ.....A SUV rental will cost a team of 6 around 200 bucks each, and that does not include GAZ. If we take the Alaska Bus Line it will cost us around 200 bucks each, and this bus only runs on MON, WED, FRI....and we will need to use the BUS and CAB in Anchorage to get around. If we use a Bush Pilot from Anchorage the cost to charter a plane in approx 250 bucks an hour each person and to go where we are going would take 4 hrs minimum round trip.
Cheapest Transportation is to book a SUV early this Fall.

SO I am leaning on a SUV RENTAL for 1 week...GIVE ME YOUR INPUT? and since I have AARP..yup,, that's correct...fridge is a member of the over the hill gang. You'll get there soon enough...

Chin votes:

I think the SUV would work well for us. The SUV gives us the most flexibility for minor scheduling changes. Go where and when we want, eat where we want. etc.

The RV would be overkill and might be a pain to drive where we are going. Hostels are fine and I look forward to meeting other folks there anyway, so sleeping in the RV is a minor negative to me.

I hate buses.....
