I will be bringing pancakes and bacon for breakfast on Saturday morning. WK was going to bring plates, forks and knives for everyone, but he's not going to be able to make it. So, bring something to eat on and with.”

“windy - to get there from Indy, is it best to just take 37 south or is there a better way? I would say we should arrive in the 10 - 11 range on Friday evening. If you can save us a spot to set up one tent that would be great . . . if it's not too much trouble.

Also, do you have the gps coordinates for the Saturday night camp?”

“37 is more direct, but I65 to I64 is probably faster. what do you think, windi?”

“from a time standpoint it's about the same as taking 65 through Louisville...depending on traffic you might save 10-15 minutes going through Louisville...taking 37 is about 40 miles closer though and is a much more scenic route”

“As you can see by the posts, you can take either way to get there. I would think I65 to I64 might be the best at night. I don't have the GPS Coordinates for Saturdays campsite, but if you look at the map on the trip page you can see where it's at. I will be putting up orange marking tape to mark the turn off from the trail as well as from the water. I'll be going down either early on Friday or late Thursday to get it done.”

“the campsite only allows 4 vehicles to park at the campsite. I am asking everyone to allow those with boats to park there first. That way they can keep an eye on them. There is addditional parking close by.”

I have my kayak at home . . . does that count? lol! Seriously, with the weather forecast it's very tempting to bring the kayaks down, but with this being the first time there I'll stick to hiking this time.

I'll probably just follow 37 if it's 40 miles less. By the time I get down that far the traffic should not be too bad, even when it turns into a two lane.

Windi - Is the Friday night camping a single site or a campground with multiple sites? If it is multiple will you mark the location?”

“I am planning on getting a group site. I'm hoping to get site #9. I will leave info at the gate as to which site(s) will be ours. If it's after hours, I will still try to leave something posted on the gatehouse. If there's nothing there, just follow the noise, lol.”

Meangreen might make it for the day on Friday and Saturday morning. He has to be back in Indy area by Saturday afternoon.”

Firewood could transport emerald ash borer. Only local firewood should be used.

“A life jacket would be helpful I have 2 canoes and 4 kayaks loaded.You could put your gear in the canoe and paddle the kayak over or what ever you want to do but it would help if you could bring a life jacket.

Windigrrl I am going to have 5 coming with me.Don't put us in the mix for the food I don't want you to have to cook for all of us.

I will however need a campsite for Friday Night we will be coming after work if you could get us a campsite we will have 3 tents and need a place to park the truck and trailer.My brother and both boys are coming down with me and Lou.

Randall I will be paddle the canoes over you can go with me or take my kayak over which ever you like.If no one there to take over my kayak we will just tie it to the canoes and it will pull over just fine.

I will bring some oil and a frying pan lets catch some fish and fry them up.

“I'm waiting to hear back from stomper, but the winery is open from 11-6. I was thinking about going around 3 or 4, what do you think? Oh, I'm going to try to get a campsite at the loop closest to Celina Lake. Site #9 and #10 if I can.
