“I non't know if you-all ( country talk ) know this or not but other than the beach I don't know how easy it is to get to the water from the trail, the last time I was there ( several years ago) the was to much sticks, moss,and other stuff for you to get to the water ,but we were on the back lake at the time
anyway have a good time ,watch out for ticks”

“Hey while you all are down there having fun without me here is a cool place not very far from the 2 lakes loop trail called HEMMLOCK CLIFFS it is where Highway 37 takes off and goes North from interstate 64 maybe 10 miles from the 2 Lakes Loop.@ lakes is where 37 starts up again and goes north here is a link to me pics from there would really be cool if it would rain sometime before you got there and the waterfalls could be running.You can also camp overnight with no fee it is a part of the Hoosier National Forest.[img]http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/562896329afMXCh

Yo Bear! This trip is right up your alley bro. Very quiet, and pretty secluded, considering it's right on the hwy. It's really clean too! Nice park, trail, area. There's lots to see and do along SR 62 for anyone who likes caves, history, and scenic drives.”

“I'm in guys. I was planning on waiting until last thing to make sure it didn't turn into a mobfest and it looks pretty small and laid back. Anyone have a coordinates for the parking lot or an address I can punch in the gps? And this is a short hike in? I'm planning on bringing extras if it's a short hike.”

“Just got off the phone with Capt Jack aka Meangreen and here's the plan at this moment. (subject to change, as always, lol) Anyone coming down on Friday night, we are meeting at the first parking lot on the right off the main road around 8 pm. We will be hiking in about a mile and making camp. For those coming in on Saturday, we are meeting at the same parking lot, first one on the right, around 10:30 am. If you have any questions, call Capt Jack, or you can call or e-mail me.”

I'm not getting off work until like 7-730pm Friday and I hope to be on the road by 8pm. I figure I'll get in anywhere from 11-1130pm and hike in in the dark.”

“The coordinates for the parking are isn't correct. It's a little farther down the road. The one's to the park entrance are fine. We'll leave some type of markings so you can follow where we are camping at. I might have a couple of glow sticks we can hang if you want.”

No, had some unexpected bills come up this week that have tapped me out. At $4 a gallon even a local trip is expensive.

“Windigrrl and I plan to car pool from the Indianapolis area leaving there at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon and arriving at the trailhead at about 6:00 p.m. EDT. Anyone else interested in joining the car pool?

We will find a campsite on the trail within a mile of the first trailhead parking lot on the left after you pay at the gate, and I will hike back to the car and mark our camping location on a spare map which I will leave visible on the front dash board. The campsite location will be marked with a glow stick. My car will be a silver Taurus, bearing Illinois license plates BCKPCK. My cell phone number is 708-227-5372.”

“Windigrrl, since you and I will be the first ones there, you can pick the campsite. I have a phone call in to Captain Jack to clarify any desires where he wants Friday night's campsite to be before we get there. After we find a suitable spot , I will just leave a marked map on my dash for those who show up later and after dark on Friday.”

“Back home. Had great time!!! Alittle sunburnt. This place is great. We found a camping spot that rocked! Thanks to everyone on the trip for such a relaxing, fun time.”

“This was a great trip. Cooling off in the lake, no mosquitoes, and great campfire comradery.

Thank you Windigrrl for finding out our Saturday's nights campsite. With the shade, swimming beach, and great view of the lake from the campfire ring, it was undoubtedly the best campsite there.

“Hey, I told him he could use some of my sunscreen, but he didn't want to get out of the water and walk up the small hill. lol. the water did feel great!”

“We found a great campsite. It's up in the wooded area from where you camped when you were there over the 4th. It's up on the hill and overlooks the lake. There's a small hill down to the lake. That's where we will be camping in Sept.”

“I must say though that I felt Captain Jack was a bit more than rude to me this weekend.

He was sipping his rum around the fire and I think, "Oh, Meangreen must not have enough alcohol because he's sipping.". So, out of the generosity of my heart, offer him my bourbon numerous times. He would say, "Well, if I must.". So I, again out of the goodness of my heart, gave him encouraging words so he wouldn't feel bad about drinking some of my bourbon. I would say, "Come on. Drink ya pussie".

Then, as he is laying on the ground using a log for a pillow, he says, "Damn I am drunk. Nigal I blame this on you!". So once again, out of my kindness for fond friends, I give him the encouraging words by which he will be able to sober up enough to safely make his way to his tent by saying, "You do know if you fall asleep right there I'm going to teabag you.". It worked. He was safely in his tent when I woke up in the morning. And ya know what? The bassturd never even said thank you to me the next day for all my kindness to him!”

“i once drove 95 mph, risked getting a ticket or even worse thrown in jail, to get to a trip on time to make up for him being an hour late but i never got a thank you for that either ;)
