We're having to borrow our way out of a Recession not debt, goofball! < G >

And if George and the rest of his idiot friends hadn't started the faked war and all that other crap we'd be in a much better position to counter this.

Where did all that goddam money go?

What has the Columbia County Armageddon RV been doing for the last seven years? Mobile Superbowl parties?

Here ya go ----- The REAL Torture Memos. And bush appointed one of the primary authors to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. File away the name Jay Bybee for future ref.

If they #&%!$ you up in the Ninth... You really Are #&%!$ed.

UM Tilty I know this will come as a shock but the ninth circus is the most overturned court in the land.

I'm glad they released those. They sure were dealing with a potential intelligence gold mine with Zubaydah. He surely had information about plots that could lead to many innocent deaths.

I'm heartened to see that those involved with his interrogation were extremely concerned about operating within the law. They had me right up to water boarding. I'm glad I didn't have to make this decision.

As was the case with Nixon, Bush and Cheney will almost certainly get off scot free. After all, the Rule of Law only applies to The Little People.

Hopefully the situation for Addington, Yoo, Feith and Bybee may be different. Per Obama's declaration, they were not close enough to the action to get a pass. Perhaps for all the damage they did to the nation they might at least be disbarred. Unfortunately, that's probably the most we can hope for.

Remember when the Rebublicans used to call themselves the Law & Order Party?

I still find it completely astounding:   how the spinelessness of Bush combined with the depravity of Cheney, given free reign by the events of 9-11.

And now it's the War Crimes Party.

Noprob, your point proves that Progressives have no morals or principals and must therefore be irradicated from pour political system. Progressives will sell out in order to gain power. That;s what the tea parties were about, no more seelling out.

What do you believe in Tilt? honesty? abiding by the law? not a chance tilt, you have absolutely no say so on this matter because you won't call out the progressives when they break the law.
How bout Charlie Rangle? Tim Geitner? Chriss Dodd? Barney Frank? Franklin Raines? They are all criminals who are up to their necks in this screwed up economy and haven't even held a real jobs...but yet they're all millionaires.....hmm, that's weird.....oh but they're down with the working man, right?

You are therefore a liar, Tilt and an elitist and people are smart enough to see through your hypocracy. They are beginning to wake up from their apathetic slumber and that's why you are so aggitated by the like of Sarah Palin and people like me who go to tea parties.

Listening to the TWO sides of american politics is way more fun than spending time comming up with any solutions to america's woes, isn't it polarites.

Even the churches have proven that nothing is exempt from being taken over by crooks and hypocrites, that is just how larger scale organizations are. You both are making list and checking them twice, but to be nice you'll both need to find something in common that will allow you to realize this argument has been going on for hundreds of years and the final solution is right before your eyes-Less growth, thus a lot fewer people.

Cheney and his fellow conspirators didn't bother to consult people who had actual interrogation experience when they came up with this crackpot policy.

Nevermind that it's illegal and makes us all look like criminals ---- It doesn't work!   Under those conditions the subject will tell you anything.   The information gained is completely unreliable.   That's what the professionals say time and again.

You wonder why so many hundreds of people have been released from Guantanamo?   They never should have been there in the first place, based on the kind of garbage intelligence collected in this manner.

It's a whopper of a Stupid Criminal story.

And what about all those people at Abu Ghraib who were court-martialed for following these orders?   They weren't allowed to call the Bush Admin. people to testify and Bush Inc. kept calling them "bad apples".   Just more lies.   And Bush/Cheney left them all to twist in the wind.

So what happens to them now?   New trials?   Pardons?   Or will they let 'em rot for following illegal orders?
Tllt

leaving people twist in the wind for following orders is chicken #&%!$, i agree.

as to the interogatrion techniques, there are also professionals that say it works. you act like the only real professionals are the ones who share your point of view. not all infromation gathered has been useless.

the fact so many have been released could also signal they let the people go when they should. not saying it does, saying it could.

legal/illegal, i don't know enough about the whole ordeal to say. i feel quite confident the information being released to the public is only part of the story. i have a brother who works for nsa and so hear different points of view. not any specifics, but different points of view.

you come across as if you only look from one point of view and demand it is the correct point of view.

there's more to it than i know.

How naive do you have to be to trust that crap about "they know something they're not telling us" after seven years of that bull#&%!$?

(Sorry, but I have absolutely no reason to trust your brother, either.)

The only information they've held back would incriminate them further. That's the clear pattern. You still think they'll still find a hundred thousand tons of nerve agent under the sand?

there's been a lot more than 7 years of bull#&%!$. try a century. i'm not naive about it. do i think there was nothing wrong going on? no. but i also am not so hard headed that i believe all was for naught.

you don't know my brother, i don't blame you for being skeptical there. the only thing he has ever said about it to me is that some good info comes out of it. he says nothing more. not even if he agrees with it or not. he's not allowed to talk about it.

i have no idea what they'll find buried where or when/if they'll find it. they'll probably find nothing more than camel scat. i'm getting the feelig you don't either.
