Another Famous Person Died Thread

“I don't expect too many here to know who Fred Meijer was. He and his father pioneered the supercenter shopping concept that many people either love or hate. He is the type of person that many of us strive to be---or should strive to be. Fred was a billionaire who would take the time to sit and BS with anybody and was a friend to all who met him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Fred and hearing a few of his goofy stories when I worked in his corporate headquarters some years back. In fact, I would probably still be working for him today had we not moved to the northern part of our state. He was a great man who will definitely be missed.
