So very sad to hear of Teena Marie's passing. Saw her in concert in Pittsburgh in 83 (I think) She was EVEN BETTER live. She was funny and engaging and so very honest in her songs. Really loved her music. Out on a Limb was my favorite. RIP Lady T

"Men flow into life, and ebb into death.

Some are filled with life;
Some are empty with death;
Some hold fast to life, and thereby perish,
For life is an abstraction.

Those who are filled with life
Need not fear tigers and rhinos in the wilds,
Nor wear armour and shields in battle;
The rhinoceros finds no place in them for its horn,
The tiger no place for its claw,
The soldier no place for a weapon,
For death finds no place in them." -- Lao Tzu

He was one of my neighbors. I didn't even know.

He'll be carrying the casket in his teeth - with his wrists & ankles hand-cuffed.

Knut, the polarbear, died in Berlin Zoo.
After having a sort of fit he died in front of hundred zoo visitors. His body had to be lifted out of the water with a crane. The autopsy will follow on Monday.

I am sorry, but I laughed my @ss off upon seeing this picture.
Not sure if you guys ever heard about the Knut-Mania that broke out since Baby Knut was first shown to the public, about four years ago. Books, films and all sort of Knut merchandise was spilled out, trying to cash in on the famouse cuddly polarbear baby.

After the autopsy they believe something was wrong with his brain and that's why he spun in circles and then fell backwards into his pond, where he, obviously, drowned.

Well, aren't we all having those days, when we feel like running in circles, before falling backwards?

I was listening to an NPR program about it this morning...otherwise I would have sworn she had had a 100!

I just read an article about a movie she made in Danville, KY...she was divorcing Wilding and getting ready to marry Todd. Todd sent her a $65,000 black pearl ring as a present. MY GOD! For a year of sex.
