“Since 97 or 98? Something like that...anyway before we had accounts. My first two trips were to Joshua Tree and Mt. San Gorgonio. The SierraPaloozas have been fun. Also nice going to gatherings when visiting other cities.

“7/16/01. (my sign-up date) I think it was actually a year earlier than that, but I barely seem to remember that Matt had to reset his database once, and we all had to re-sign up.

My life has gotten pretty busy. I still backpack, but don't have the time to post here much any more. Sometimes you can find me on MySpace and Yahoo.. and sometimes you can find me on the "other side."

I've still got a voicemail saved on my cell phone (most of you have my number) from a reporter at the Wall Street Journal. I got interviewed, but I never got published. Oh well.

Life is good, though. My son and his wife are doing well, and my daughter celebrates her 21st birthday today. Deb and I are still together, and enjoying life. I already have another backpacking trip planned for 2008.

I'm still playing in a band, and we played almost 80 shows last year. I've been in my current job for over three years, and I love the folks I work with.

To everyone at TrailTalk, may you and your family have a very Merry Christmas... (or if I /have/ to be politically correct ).. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
