“At least I found it so. I got a friend request from Doug Murdoch. Now, I'm Doug Murdoch. Turns out he's the son of my first cousin who lives in Phoenix (this would make him my first cousin once removed) and he (Doug) lives in Santa Clara, CA. We have two mutual friends, his dad and Chris Dodds who is a friend and lives in the next hamlet to the East.

Chris is a world famous photographer with many Nationhal Geographic portfolios (www.chrisdoddsphoto.com) and Doug owns a company that makes high end photo cases and bags. It is quite the co-incidence, I think, to discover a cousin on the other side of the continent who is a friend of a friend here.

My father had lost contact with his family due to (congenital) depression and alcoholism. Discovering family was a blast.”
